I await the time where I will see u again, my dear, sweet friend. All my love, Mona

Jules - thank you for taking the time to talk to Grandma every day for all these years. It is hard to try and fill your shoes, but Nichoel and I both are very grateful for the relationship that we have with Grandma now. Without you, speaking to her every day would not be part of my life. We remember you every day, and always will.

My dearest Jules,
I am deeply saddened by your sudden departure from us, however you are in a much better place that we can only imagine. For the past 24 years we went through some hard times, sad moments, fun and exciting times, but you were always part of the greatest moments of my life. I still can remember the first time we met like it was yesterday. We both knew that night that we would be together forever. When we got married most people told us we were too young and did not know what we were getting into. They were right, we were young and didn’t have a clue what to do, yet we managed to stay together and raise two boys just fine. We may have not had everything we wanted over the years, but we always had everything we needed. Over the years we met some of the greatest people on earth who we now call our friends, and we made a great life together.
You are a part of me then, now and will be forever. I miss you more than you can imagine and love you know and forever.
Love, Corey

God brought Julie into my life one summer night in August 1998. Only God could have arranged this so perfectly... my daycare provider had just given her 2 week notice for my 8month old daughter.
My 4 year old had a play date cancel and we opted for McDonalds to cheer us up. While I watched her play, I observed the young Mom in the seat next to me giving instruction to 4 young boys. To my amazement they all listened attentively. Here I could barely handle 2 girls and she apparently effortlessly could single handedly deal with 4 boys. I looked at her and said "are they all yours"? she chuckled and said no 2 were and the other 2 were boys she watched for daycare.
Immediately, I perked up and said you watch kids? I propped my 8 month old daughter on my leg...Julie stared in awe and said..."A girl...I never get girls"...from that moment on Julie provided loving care for my littlest daughter for 2 years. That day I was blessed with her not only as a person I could trust with my most precious children but also as a friend.
Years passed and we thankfully kept in touch, she introduced me to Scrapbooking friends and massage people, great pistachio cookie bars and much more. While people go separate ways in life, there are some you always carry with you in your heart. No matter how long it's been since you've spoken you know you are always welcome in their home. This is how I will remember Julie, as a wonderful blessing I will carry in my heart and my families heart forever.

Julie Strong's golden light shone through our community. She was a tireless volunteer for children and an adoring mother who gave not only her time and energy, but her bright, talented son A.J. to our Dolphin Players program. A.J. was wonderful in our performances and her pride in watching him do Shakespeare was heartwarming. Personally, I remain grateful for the enthusiasm to read she instilled in our son. Her legacy of loving encouragement will continue to inspire my work.
Be well.

Cory, it's been years since we've seen each other. This is Mary I used to live in the "front" house with my cousin Tim and my 2 kids. I am so saddened at your loss. Julie, helped me with Anthony & Alexus and really showed me how blessed I was to be a mom. She got it... She was great at it and she shared that power with others. I'm so happy to have known her. My deepest condolences.

Jules was my hero growing up, and I don't have a single childhood memory that doesn't involve her. She was a role model, a playmate, a cousin and a friend. There won't be a day that goes by when I don't think of her and the impact she made on my life. I will miss her always. The world lost a bright light, but she'll live on in all of our memories. I love you, forever.

Four years ago we were new to UPS and Camarillo. We discovered Julie, her welcoming smile, encouragement and love for reading. She also introduced us to The Magic Tree House series and we joined her Magic Tree Club. During our first year, we spent at least 3 afternoons each week, in the library reading, playing and stopping in for Julie's Magic Tree House quizzes upon completion of the book we most recently finished. We read at least 23 books that year. My two boys and I still cherish our first year at UPS and our memories of Julie.
Julie, you truly brightened our lives. I truly hope that through all of the sadness that your light and enduring love will keep shining upon your family. You touched so many and we are fortunate to have apart of us.
Julie, thanks for being such a beautiful model for living and being.
I cherish you.

I'm so grateful that Jules was a part of my life, and that she taught me so many things I will never forget. Without Julie I never would have known that it is not okay to cheat at card games, why watching The Goonies every weekend was important, or even why people wear bras. I hope that I can be half as good to Julie's boys as she was to me when I was a kid. Julie meant so much to me, and I am so thankful that she touched so many other people as well. She will live on through all of us.

Julie was our first grandaughter, so you can imagine how excited we were to finally have a little girl to love and spoil, and that is exactly what we did. It didn't take long for Julie to figure out she could get anything she wanted from her "Pops".
Julie decided to live with us and go to high school in Virginia City, so we soon learned how different it was to raise girls than boys.
I taught Julie how to drive, still not sure if I taught her very well, and it was about that time we decided to buy a new car. Julie decided she would like the Monte Carlo that we were trading in, and I said no. For 10 days the fight continued, Julie and Pops against me, and guess who won? Julie did love her Monte Carlo though.
We really have enjoyed every minute Julie was in our lives and have not figured out how we are going to live without her.
Julie once told me, "Grandma, don't die before me because I don't know how I would get along without you". Well, now the table is turned, and I do not know how I am going to get along without her.
Thank you all for supporting our family and remembering our beautiful granddaughter.

Uncle Bob's Eulogy
On behalf of the family, I would like to thank everyone for all of the support we have received in the past week, and for all of you being here today. Julie touched a lot of people, and I know she is smiling down on us right now.
I would also like to let everyone know that there will be a reception at the home of Don and Mary Bernard. Directions will be available at the back of the Chapel. There is an open guest book on the Reno Gazette Journal website under obituaries, if you would like to send Julie or the family a personal message.
37 years ago my brother was blessed with his first child. A beautiful baby girl, Julie Marie. He did not know it at the time, but Julie would grow into an amazing woman who would surpass all of his expectations. We all had the pleasure of watching her grow from a clumsy child to the most compassionate and loving woman. We were fortunate enough to see her as a daughter, a sister, a niece, an aunt, a cousin, a wife, a mother, and a teacher.
At the time of Julie’s birth, I was 14 years old. I was an uncle before I even knew what it meant. At that age, it sounded cool, but as I grew up I realized how much it would mean to me throughout my life that Julie was my niece. Shortly after her birth, I was given another honor that I did not fully appreciate at the time, which was to be her godfather. I remember feeling like an adult watching my tiny niece be baptized. As a result, I was able to watch this remarkable young lady grow up and mature into the wonderful person she became.
My family had the privilege of Julie spending some of her teen years living next door. Not a day went by that my daughters, 10 years younger than Julie, did not follow their cousin around everywhere. Julie never tired of them, and taught them every game and song she could imagine. My girls were her biggest fans and Julie was the perfect mentor. It is hard to think of them as kids without their Jules. As proud as I was to be Julie’s godfather, my daughters were equally proud to be her flower girls at her wedding.
We are all so fortunate that Julie will live on through those we love. Her younger brothers John and Jason, and her sons Chris and AJ will always show a reflection of Julie in their lives. Chris and AJ, your mother loved you very much and was extremely proud of you, as are we. Julie’s husband and soul mate for the past 20 years, Corey has always been a part of our family, and will always remain a part of our family.
So many of us have learned from Julie, and are blessed to carry her traits in our lives. Her two sons, her two brothers, my daughters, her nieces and nephews, and so many students that she touched over the years will all carry her legacy of caring and her enthusiasm for learning.
Julie cared for everyone she ever met, and spent her life enriching the lives of others. Despite being a full-time student, mother and working with children every day, Julie always had time for her family. She called her grandmother every day, usually just to say I love you, Grandma. We can all learn from Julie that it is important to call your Grandma, your Dad, your Uncle, and everyone else close to you, and let them know you love them every day.
Because of Julie, I now know how special it is to be an uncle, and a godfather. And I will always remember the way she cared for my daughters, and everyone else she knew. Julie, God bless you, and you will always be in our thoughts and prayers.

Ms. Strong was the heart and soul of university prep school at csuci library program. Her happy face, her knowledge of every child's name, her creative ideas, her gentle reprimands when needed all made that library a joyful learning space. We parents loved working with her on whatever she needed because her passion and enthusiasm were contagious. This woman built a community for kids and parents to collaborate, interact and explore. My boys love her; I love her and feel such compassion for her family. Last we talked was in the csuci library as she was prepping for finals. So glad we connected and hugged! She was so missed at the charter schools and is deeply missed and appreciated for all she did for our families.
