Topper Family:
I realize it has been a few years since Barbara passed and my coming upon her obituary just now was a little strange. I wish to offer my sincere condolences for your loss.
I'm sure you won't remember me, but I dated Robert for awhile in 1977. Sincerely,
Sherri Collier-Kohl

Barbara was my sister-in-law. We had so many fun times as the children were growing up. I surely remember the bowling nights, where the after-hours breakfast at her and Chuck's house would follow. Also the snow trips with kids in sleeping blankets covering the floor of the cabin. And certainly will not forget the Reno trips, when she was hard to find once she saw those slots. One Reno trip we won because we were #1 in the bowling league. Barbara was always there to help out if my kids needed a place to be while I was having an appointment, and she was there when she was needed for her own children. She, and Chuck, went through the most desparate times, and never wavered in their strength and caring for their children. They have raised beautiful, smart, and tremendously good-hearted children, and I surely admire that. The proof is in their coming together at times of ease, and times of distress. In her last days they all gathered around, again, to reafirm their lasting love for her, and for family life. She will rest in peace because of the legacy of strength, and faith, that she left behind.
