Mark Hartmann Obituary

Mark E. Hartmann, 59, of Raritan died on Thursday, Jan. 6, 2011. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service on Tuesday, with the Rev. Dr. Peter Carey officiating, at 11 a.m., at the Kamienski Funeral Home, 106 Locust Ave., Wallington. Cremation will be at Cedarlawn Crematory, Paterson, N.J. Visiting will be Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. only. Born in Passaic, Mark lived in Wallington before moving to Raritan 24 years ago. Prior to his retirement in 2010, Mark was employed by the State of New Jersey Division of Taxation for over 30 years, most recently as the chief of taxation. He was a former member of the Borough of Wallington Board of Planning Adjustment. Mark was the beloved husband of Janet (nee Kudlacik); devoted father of Daniel Hartmann of Raritan; cherished son of Carl and Dorothy (nee Woolsey) Hartmann of Wallington; dear brother of Robert Hartmann of Louisville, Colo., and Karen Smith, of Ridgewood. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 417005, Boston, Mass. 02241-7005, in memory of Mark E. Hartmann, would be appreciated.
