I worked for Mr. Kenny as I called him when he owned the West End Tavern in Burgaw. He was the best boss I have ever worked for. Always caring and the sweetest man. I havent seen him in quite sometime but he will never be forgotten. I have very fond memories of working with him especially while the blueberry fest was going on and we had the kitchen hoping. You will always be remembered and missed Mr. Kenny! Rest in Peace

I went to school with Kenny and I am so sad about his passing. I haven't seen him in years but, I have always had good memories of him. My prayers go to his family and hope to see him again one day in the arms of Jesus.

I went to school with Kenny Hayes, as we all called him. He was always laughing and happy. I haven't seen him in many years, but still remember those wonderful high school days at Burgaw High.

He certainly was wery thoughtful as he wan always bringing fish or vegetables he had grown or caught. He was a friend to me and I will always miss trading jokes with him, but I know we will get to do it again in a better place. All of you are in my thoughts and prayers.
