Kim,

Two years ago we received the tragic news, how far we have all come since then. It has not been easy! We all wonder??

Marianne is meeting with the pope today. IMAGINE the POPE!!! IN Rome....go figure... Did you have something to do with that? I hope it will bring some closer to all of us. Maybe she will finally have some peace and can move on. Maybe she can say something to him on all of our behalf. God knows we need it. I hope she gets some good pictures and maybe you can 'peek in on it' from up above. MISS you!! Love Mo

Kim will have been gone two years in a few months. It is really wonderful that everyone is still participating in this guest book memory page. Even though I have tears in my eyes everytime I open and read each new entry, it still means a lot to me to share my thoughts with others. It would be nice if each reader enters a short message to family & friends over the next 2 months.

Hi, I just put up our Christmas tree for the third time. The first time everything went well until half of the tree lights burned out two days after I decorated it. I took all the ornaments off and replaced the lights and redecorated it. The second time the tree completely died. The brances were so dry they were cracking and falling off with the weight of the ornaments. So we brought it back and then we had to find another one five days before Christmas, need I say the selection was slim pickings. Oh well it is up and come hell or high water it is staying up until NY eve. I have Twiddle Dee and Twiddle Dum right on the top of the tree...I thought that is was appropriate this year. (Along with the stalk of asparagus below it) Mom and Dad will be coming up tomorrow until Sunday. This will be a tough Christmas without you. The wine and the "Lemon water" will be flowing freely I'm sure. Well bye for now. Love Mo

Kim,

I hope by now you've seen Danny & my good friend Laurie. I hope you're looking down on us all. I went to Auburn last week and had a good visit with all. (I'm sure you know everything even before I type

it here. Oh well ...here goes...) Paula picked me up and I saw her family...then I went to mom & dads and met Patty & John there. Pat, Katie & Jane came up for a BBQ. They even had a race in the pool. I think it was a tie....Pat & Katie....no offense Scott....oh...ok GO KATIE!!!!!!!! Then we all went to Pat's graduation party and had a GREAT time. 94 water balloons , gone in about 3 minutes. Needless to say Pat got soaked!!! Also the tree that they planted in your honor is breathtaking! It overlooks the end of the lake. We all miss you so much but for our sake look down on us all and keep us healthy and safe. Oh and by the way...you got out of painting the pool chain link fence. Haley, dad and I got it done. Then we went to Maria's. We talked about the barber's chair and all the good times. Jack, Jade and Jamen rode the quad's. Mb, Haley & I sat and talked. ( Except when Haley ran down the hill, tripped on the rock garden border and ended up face first in the garden. If MB & I hadn't seen it for ourselves we've never had believed it...Haley got up w/a petunia stuck to her little forehead....oh little her.) Any way I miss you so much. I guess what they say is true....you don't know what you have until it is gone!!! I visited your grave right before I left and it was comforting. Keep us all in your prayers and help keep us all strong. We're counting on you!! Love MO

Kim, I'm sure you're aware, but Marianne & Nick left yesterday. They stayed here for three days and we had a blast. We all talked, laughed and cried. She is such a special woman. I always knew this but it was sure evident this past weekend. She loved you so. Nick is so supportive of her. When you met him, you met a very loving and caring person. He and Haley really hit it off. He bought her a little yellow hat which she loves. She wore it all day, along with Marianne's high heeled shoes. They got such a kick out of her. Marianne has a new vice. She is a jet ski junkie. She just loved riding the jet ski. She said it reminded her of riding the motorcycle. Nick rode it also. I have many funny photos. Well it was just so nice to have them stay here. Just always know that she is in good hands with all of us. I just wish you were here to enjoy her with us. I love you!!! Mo

Kim,

This comes from Josh Groban's CD titled "Closer". I thought it might bring comfort for those who read it. It is a beautiful song named "You Raise Me Up".

When I am down and, oh my soul, so weary

When troubles come and my heart burdened be

Then, I am still and wait here in silence

Until you come and sit a while with me

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains

You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas

I am strong, when I am on your shoulders

You raise me up...to more than I can be

I miss you alot!

On our travels through life we meet a wide variety of charactors. Some of them are happy, some sad, some are mean, some are angry, some are very bad for us, some are good for us. I have never meet a charactor like you. You have been the kind that has lifted me up when I was sad with you quick and funny whit. You have helped me in many ways. Some of them were charactor building. Many times you have helped me out of problems that I thought couldnt be solved. I have also been upset with you over trivial things or just because, and you have managed to laugh me out of it. I have shared things with you that one usually only shares with family. I have learned and grown with you. Mostly I will miss the "Dog House" that we so often shared. You could always make me laugh especially when we werent supposed to. I have lost more than a friend and will think of you often. You will be one of the best charactors on my lifes road. May God hold you in his hand. Love Ya, Betty

I’m Free

Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free

I’m following the path God has laid you see.

I took His hand when I heard him call

I turned my back and left it all.

I could not stay another day

To laugh, to love, to work, to play.

Tasks left undone must stay that way

I found that peace at the close of day.

If my parting has left a void

Then fill it with remembered joy.

A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss

Oh yes, these things I too will miss.

Be not burdened with times of sorrow

I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.

My life’s been full, I savored much

Good friends, good times, a loved one’s touch.

Perhaps my time seemed all too brief

Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief.

Lift up your hearts and peace to thee

God wanted me now; He set me free.

To Kim's Parents, family, Pat & Kate & especially dear Marianne,

This poem has always given peace in my heart in times of need. You are all in my thoughts and prayers, The Pinon Family (employee Melrose Park, IL office)

Remember Me

To the living I am gone and to the sad

I will never return. To the happy

I am at peace and to the angry I was cheated.

But to the faithful, I have never left.

I cannot speak, but I can listen…

I cannot be seen, but my presence can be felt…

I can no longer lead, but I can walk beside you.

So as you stand gazing at a beautiful sunset

Or the moon in its endless sky, remember me.

As you look in wonder at the colors of a rose

Or listen to the song of the bird, remember me.

Remember me in your heart, your thoughts and

In your memories. Remember the times we loved

And the times we fought… the times we laughed

And the times we cried… the times we teased

And the times we shared. For if you think of me,

I will not have died.

I have only gone with Jesus.

Uncle Kim, I didn't get to know you real good but I really enjoyed biting your nose last May when I was in Auburn with mommy and daddy. You had a nice nose! Remember we made everyone laugh again when I bite it twice. I will miss you but will always listen to the great stories that everyone will tell me about you as I grow up.

Pray for me and our family. Love Haley

Dear Uncle Kim,

You were my godfather, uncle and friend. I will always remember opening presents with you at Christmas time and playing "cooties" and "light brite".

You made my 4th birthday special by visiting me in NJ and building me a beautiful sandbox. I prayed for you this week in CCD.

Love You,

Jade Alexis
