As I sit here I am thinking of you and mom...i miss you both terribly!!! Not a day goes by that I do not stop and think of you or mom...Not a day goes by where I do not shed a tear...Tears for you Lenny and all that you have missed by not physically being here... I always know you're with me in spirit but it isn't the same...Tears for mom because she is not here...no phone calls...no laughter...no Suzy Q....I love you both so much and I pray you both are up in heaven laughing and having fun!!! Lenny, Dad yad his surgery the other day. In all the pain he is in he keeps speaking of how much he loves you. We all do. I brought a Christmas tree and plant out to your grave. It's been a year now but it hasn't been any easier. I find you in the smallest places. In the lyrics of a candlebox song, every corner down here in the valley holds some distant memory of you. It was hard coming home and seeing all of our old friends, I kept waiting to see you. You are there, I feel you when we're all together and of course all of our happiest memories include you. Everyone has a funny story, one that usually starts with "Dude do you remember that time...." Good times, Lenny. Today you would've been 32 years old. You had given us 31 years of the best memories you could've ever given a mother, father and 3 sisters. Lenny and I went to to St.James elementary school together for 8 of the longest years of our lives...in fact Len and I were named the class clowns for the eighth grade yearbook. Which was quite an honor for us ...lol especially because we really never clicked with right clicks there.I have not seen Lenny in probably 12 years or so but thought of him often when driving past "The Peace Bridge" to go visit my parents.I am so sorry for the Soules loss...I'm sure that he will be missed sorely by all whose lives that he touched. It has been quite longtime since I have seen Lenny. We grew up together in the Valley & both attended St James. Even through his tough times, Lenny was always smiling & telling me how he was trying to better himself. Lenny was a good person who tried his best in life. I'm so saddened to hear about his tragic end, but feel certain that he is w/ God now & can finally rest in peace. I hope we all learn that we don't have to be perfect to have made a difference here on Earth. May God bless his family & his memory.
