It was under very trying circumstances that I took over the Director position for the Polk County Building Division in 2004. Although I had known and worked with the staff there, I did not know what to expect from them nor they from me. Steve was the first to meet with me and to offer any assistance that he could. His knowledge was invaluable and I called on him often for Division history and building code information. Steve was always willing to teach anyone about the Building Code, but for the past five years, he taught us about courage. I knew Steve as a co-worker, employee, and finally as a friend. Steve's knowledge and willingness to find solutions to problems; and his very persence in the Polk County Building Division will be forever missed by those of us that were priviledged to know him. May God bless the Rozier family and friends at this time, they are all in our prayers.

What can you say about a man like Steve Rozier he was the most unselfish person I know always giving never asking for nothing in return. He was my teacher in plumbing and through out my life. He's my uncle my friend and my second dad all the way till the end. Miss you forever.

To the Family of Steven C. Rozier, Being a contractor in Polk County for many years my Father and I dealt with Steven on many occasions during the permitting process. He was always kind and helpful in anyway possible and very knowledgeable about his field within the Building Division. His "can do" nature made working with him a pleasure. He will be miss greatly, but the Lord has a plan for us all. I am sure that Steven is gladly doing whatever that plan that Our Lord has for him. May The Lord give the Family the strength and grace to carry on until that day when they shall see Steven again is my prayer in all of his glory...AMEN

I met Steve in April 2006 when I started working for Polk County Building Division. Steve was one of the most caring and giving individuals I have ever known. His vast technical knowledge and "can do" attitiude will be forever missed. I pray that the Peace of God be with his family during this difficult time.

Snuggle in God's arms. When you are hurting, when you feel lonely, and left out. Let God cradle you, comfort you, reassure you of His all-sufficient power and love.
