Irene Uglow Obituary
Born in Archbald, daughter of the late James and Marie Keegan McLaughlin, she was a member of Christ the King Parish, Archbald. She was a graduate of Archbald High School and owned and operated Uglow's Flower House in Archbald, for 40 years before retirement. Irene was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother whose life revolved around her family. She was loved.
Surviving are two daughters, Karen Mancus, Atlanta; and Laurie and husband, Patrick Lavelle, Archbald; a son, John Uglow, Jermyn; two granddaughters, Jennifer Uglow, Conshohocken; and Rachel Lavelle, Scranton; five grandsons, Steve Savitski and wife, Sigrira, Atlanta; Tony Mancus and fiancée, Shannon, Rosalyn, Va.; P.J. Lavelle Jr. and wife, Jessica, Harrisburg; John J. Uglow Jr. and wife, Megan, Upper Marlboro, Md.; and Elliot G. Lavelle, Archbald.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Elaine Daniels; and two brothers, Robert and Paul McLaughlin.
A private funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Ann's Basilica in Scranton on Saturday for the immediate family. Arrangements: Louis J. Rapoch Funeral Home, 420 Church St., Archbald. Online condolences may be sent to www.RapochFuneralHome.com.
