MILLER, Margaret "Marge" Claire Hoefer, died Thursday, November 11, 2010. A resident of Glen Allen, Marge passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her husband of 52 years, Robert "Bob" Miller, and their children. Marge was born and raised in Flushing, N.Y. and graduated with a nursing degree from St. Mary's College in South Bend, Ind. in 1958. For 26 years, Marge served her country as a supportive Navy wife and was a registered Neo-natal nurse at Fairfax Hospital in Fairfax, Va. for many years. Marge was one of three girls born to the late August and Agnes Hoefer. She is survived by Elinor Browne of Monterrey, Calif. and Rosemary Maher of Overland Park, Kan. Marge will forever be remembered by her five beloved children, Kevin and Terry Miller, Kathy and John Dove, Marnie and Pat Battistini, Michael and Sara Miller and Joanna and Alex Wylie; and 17 treasured grandchildren, Jackie, John and Matt Dove, David, Joe and Jack Miller, Margaret and Burke Battistini, Isabel, Daniel, Sean, Nicholas, Erin and Carrie Miller, Payton, Ella and Rocksen Wylie; along with countless other friends and family, who were blessed to know her. Marge loved quilting, reading books, "beach weeks," laughing, being with her family, having fun with friends and being a member of the "CRHP" Chicks. Marge touched the lives of many people with her smile and generosity and maintained her amazing sense of humor all the way to the end. Friends and family are invited to attend visitation services on Monday, November 15, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 8 to 9 p.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church, 4491 Springfield Road, Glen Allen, Va. 23060. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, November 16 at St. Michael's Catholic Church, followed by a graveside burial at Greenwood Memorial Gardens. The family requests all donations be sent to St. Michael's Catholic Church in Marge Miller's name.

Dear Bob and Family
Marge was just the sweetest, funniest, loving, sincere, inspiring, beautiful and wonderful lady I was privileged to know. My life has been so much richer and blessed for having been one of her friends and CRHP sisters. I was in France at the time of her funeral and sorry I couldn't be there with you but I hope you felt my thoughts, prayers and hugs. Marge will always be special to me and I just know she is being rewarded now in Jesus' arms. But how I will miss her..... as you all will so much. Fond memories and lots of Love

I met Marge at quilting when I first started and she was on of the friendlist people I have ever met. She always had a smile and was always telling a funny story. She love talking about her family on retreats she was a proud MaMa. She will be missed deeply anyone who met her loved her right away.

Jesus said, "The greatest love a person can have for his friends is to give his life for them." (John 15:13) Marge gave her life for everyone around her - through her nursing, her motherhood, her being a devoted wife, and certainly through her friendship. My own life could not be what it is today without the love Marge gave to me. It is a gift I will treasure always. Before He died, Jesus prayed for us all, "Father! You have given them to Me, and I want them to be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory..." (John 17:24) God has answered His prayer for Marge and I trust she is safely by His side. Welcome home, Marge. Pray for those who are waiting to join you.
