Well, I can honestly say that time has moved on but I do not know how this year is the 20th anniversary with you here. I never thought I would see 20 years of you gone physically. I can only say the pain of you gone is NOT easier. My memories are many and the love I feel from them has carried me through these years. . Love and miss you so very much! Love you Mom~ you were my first love and I am still holding you close to my heart forever.

Two years ago I mentioned a song that connected me with Barb. The video is of Godsmack on stage performing "Under Your Scars". Wish I was on stage performing that song with the band! This year the video that once again gave me that connection is " Wrecked" by Imagine Dragons. In the video the singer is at a party and keeps seeing his late wife and he tries to find her. I used to have similar dreams years ago. There is a sweet memorial at the end of the Video. To those of you who get to see this, you have to wonder how many times Barb has sat next to us.
You see Barbara, you are still so close to our hearts.
When trials come, things that are important become really clear.
God bless you my dear.

Fifteen years since you left us. New littles born, weddings, divorces, deaths - but you know all that. I'd like to say the pain of not having you with us for all of these life events gets easier but it doesn't - we all get through it but it's not easier. You just put one foot in front of the other and carry on. I hope we are all making you proud! Miss you bunches. Love, Tracey Lynn

To all of us who love and miss Barbara, please remember that we are not alone and we are all in this together. We are so blessed to have had this wonderful spirit and soul in our lives. It is quite amazing to me how quickly fifteen years can go by and at the same time how long it may seem to be. This wonderful woman left an indelible positive mark on our lives and we get to keep that forever in our hearts. I wish to thank the Rose family for letting me be a part of something so wonderful and most importantly to me Barbara's life. Sometimes a song will come along and just nail certain feelings and make a connection. This year to me that song is "Under Your Scars" by Godsmack. Listen to it if you will and see if you can make a connection or if it strikes a chord in your heart.
God bless us all,
Lance

To all of us who love and miss Barbara, remember that we are all in this together. She left an indelible wonderful mark on our lives and our souls. In our grief and loneliness we must remind ourselves just how lucky we were to have this beautiful spirit in our lives. Yes my dear friends, this is something special we get to keep in our hearts forever. Amazing how it just doesn't seem that long ago but yet fifteen years can be a long time. I wish to thank the Rose family for letting me be a part of your family and most important to me, Barbara's life. Sometimes a song can bring out some wonderful things about a relationship and love. For me this year it is called "Under Your Scars" by Godsmack. If you have a chance listen and see if it moves you too.
God bless us all,

Gosh Barbara, I am now 65 years old and moving into a new phase of my life. I still have the love of music in my blood and so many times when I do play on stage, you are out there still watching, still moving to the music with that beautiful smile that stole my heart. Actually, it was that first kiss! I remember it so well.
Please continue to be here for all of us, as you touched the lives of so many.
Thank you Barbara, for so many reasons.
I love you and .....connect!

Missing you....this year more then last...maybe because I passed our "same age" point on October 19....a day I'd been thinking about for a long time... I am happy that I am still here to celebrate my new grandbaby, my Dustin's wedding, my parents health...but sad that you were taken from us when you had so much more life to experience and so many more memories to make with us! I love you.... Tracey Lynn

Not a day goes by that I don't think of your beautiful face. Thinking that I am now the same age you were going through your treatments makes me so sad.... Wishing I would have made more effort to visit with you vs thinking there's always tomorrow ... I will make it up to you when I knock at your heavenly door ... And hear you say "Tracey Lynn...come on in"... Love you !

My dearest Barbara,
I could tell you how much I love and miss you, but that may be very selfish of me. There are so many here who feel the same way. I can only speak for myself. You will continue to have a big part of my heart and soul with you forever. We wouldn't have had it any other way, would we?
I think of you every day, and miss you everyday.
I love you Barbara,
with all of my heart.

Yesterday it was 9 years since you left us and this crazy world just doesn't seem the same since that day. They say it gets easier but, I disagree, it just gets easier to hide the tears. One of my favorite memories of all time is when we weighed in a Weight Watchers then stopped at the store and you bought each of us a Hershey's candy bar and ate them in your car before we got home so no one would know we cheated..lol....so tonight, I'll eat one for both of us and wash it down with a Diet Coke! Love and miss you tons! Tracey Lynn

My dear Barbara Jean,
For me my dear, time does not heal the pain or loss. Loss of my best freind, partner in life, my heart and my soul. The touch of your hand as you held mine could never be disconnected. What a joy to have been married to you. You gave me so much in terms of believing and doing. Together we grew so much and experienced so much of what life has to offer. You used to say,"Lanny, look at the places we have been and the things we have done".
Yes Barbara Jean, and I will never forget.
I never really knew what love truly menat, til there was you.

Even after all this time, I am still in shock over the loss of my sister in law. The words "in law" are an error - she was my sister and my friend...and I still miss her and think of her every day. Barb touched all of our lives with her amazing attitude, life, and love - no one will be the same without her. This poem is my attempt to put my feelings into words...
The Rose is strong,
It weathers storms and heat waves,
It perseveres through rain and snow.
In spring it emerges green and new
To bloom again.
Some are stronger, some are taller
Some are larger, some are smaller
All are beautiful.
If you treat them right
They will not prick you
But should you be careless
They can draw blood
With their thorns.
A rose is a rose is a rose.
Not True
Some are stronger, taller, more beautiful
Some grab your attention
An captivate you
And make you wonder
How something so wonderful
Could be here on Earth.
You feel graced to have been a part of the rose’s life
And when it is gone,
It leaves a hole you think you can never fill.
Then one day you realize your memories of that rose
Are strong and beautiful and will remain with you.
Forever.

Lance,
My heart aches as I just heard about Barb. She and I became best of friends instantly in 1982 at 3M. Yes, there was a connection and I know how lucky I was to have a friend like her. We shared many great memories together and as time went on, our paths led us in different directions but I never forgot her spirit. Although we corresponded only once a year at Christmas, it seemed that our bond of friendship never went away.
She was very special to me and I still to this day, remember her sharing with me that she was starting to "date" her Lance. She was so excited then, and through her correspondence and description of your relationship, she was still giddy as a schoolgirl. I wanted you to know that this is what she shared.
Thank you and your family for bringing her such happiness because she was a true inspiration to all of us. My heart and prayers go out to you.

How do you put into words the importance of such an amazing woman as Barb?? There are no words, but the memories, spirit, joy, and zest for life will carry on everyday through her husband, children, grandchildren, and all those who were sooooo blessed to have been touched my Barb's love and humor.
Barb taught me many things over the years, things I'm not sure she was even aware of, and I can't thank her enough. I grew up with Melanie, and therefore was at her house ALL THE TIME (I know driving poor Barb crazy a time or twelve), and have so many wonderful memories of her since I was 7 years old. I've looked up to Barb my whole life and credit my love of music to her since to ride in the car with her meant the music had to be blasting and everyone had to sing along (of course, she was the loudest)!!!!! I now have a radio in every room of the house and I know it's because of HER!!!!!!
I sent Barb a card every Mother's Day for years, and having lost my own mother at 14, I can only hope she had even a small idea of how much it meant to me. I find comfort in knowing my mother was there to thank you and welcome you at the gates of Heaven.
They don't come any better, and you are and will be very missed. Love you!

What can be said about my Aunt Barb that can be summed up in so few words? When I was growing up I always wanted to be just like her. Her intelligence, compassion, love for life, wild & crazy side, her beauty and her famous german chocolate cookies will never be forgotten. When I hear Bob Seger, Journey, Rod Stewart and the Stones, open a gift with WAY too much tape, see a funky orange car, drink a Diet A&W, smell Zest soap, witness someone not pleased with an umpire at a softball game, drive a car with manual transmission, watch An Officer and a Gentlemen, eat pizza from the Italian Oven....the list could go on...I think of my aunt. Barb, you will be missed but never forgotten and I am grateful for all you have taught me. I Love You, Anne.

My mother taught me to be strong, honest, and most of all loving to the people in my life. But most of all she taught me how to be a man. I am torn for words because my heart is broken, but not empty because I know in my heart that my mother has taught me to overcome what is hurting me by finding the good inside the bad. I can see my mom now, sitting in heaven in the presence of our God, with that smile on her face because she knows that we will be alright as she has done her job better than any mother ever could. I will miss her advice which was always right, even if I didn't agree. I will miss the way she kissed me goodbye one on the lips and one on the cheek. I will miss her smile and her laughing as well as her guidance in my life. I know when I need her, she will still be their, all I have to do is listen to my heart and I will know what to do. If I could have one wish, it would be to give you one more hug. I know you will be waiting for me with open arms to give me that hug. I love you with all my heart and soul. I am going to miss all those special little extras that you did so well because you cared for everyone that you knew and met and you where willing to go out of your way to make them smile. Good bye for now. Kiss-Kiss, one on the lips and one on the cheek with all my love. I miss you. Your loving son, Kevin

I saw her sitting at the table across the room. Was it her eyes? Was it her smile? I really wasn't sure but it was something so extraordinary I couldn't think straight. Then it dawned on me. This was the most incredibley beautiful person I had ever seen in my life. I simply had to talk to her. The rest my freinds is history.
My wife had a gift, and everyone that either saw her or talked to her, knew. It was that evident.
God blessed me with an opportunity in my life. That was to be with someone so special and develope a love like I had never known possible.
I am such a lucky man.
There is a song by a group known as "Evanescence" called "My Immortal". It captures our journey and what I am feeling now. It is a beautiful piece. Think of Barbara and I when you hear it. The verse that keeps going through my mind is this.
You used to captivate me by your resonating light
Now I'm bound by the life you left behind
Your face it haunts
My once pleasant dreams
Your voice it chased away
All the sanity in me
These wounds won't seem to heal
The pain is just to real
There's just to much that time cannot erase
When you cried I'd wipe away all of your tears
When you'd scream I'd fight away all of you fears
I held your hand through all of these years
But you still have....
All of me
God Bless all of you.Thank you all for your love and support. Again I am truly a lucky man.
Barbara will live on in my heart forever.

Dear Lance,
I was reading again all the wonderful things everyone has said about Barb and I feel so lucky that I got to know her for myself. She was so loved by Dad and I know she had a special place in his prayers when he found she was having to deal with the same thing he was dealing with. He and Mom would tell me about the great times they had visiting you and how glad they were that you two were so happy together. I had the same feeling when I was around you too, and much of that time was after Barb got sick. I will always remember how concerned she was for me and my comfort even when her comfort level was shaken. She gave this world a gentle, loving touch that made it a much better place. You are both in my prayers as always.
Love, your cousin, Jessie

Lance,
I was very glad to see you the other night. Though I did not reconize your face at first, your voice was unmistakenable and triggered some good memories. I had just met with your wife a few minutes before seeing you and had a conversation with her about her situation. We had shared a few "war stories" about our illnesses. As I left her room, I thought what a remarkable person this women is and that she has another battle to face. I was very surprised later to learn you were married to her. Unfortunate things happen to the nicest people. I am very sad for you, her and your family. I wish you and your family easier times ahead.

My Aunt Barb was a very special person to me. She was one of the most considerate and loving people I have ever known. She was an excellent role model for me to look up to growing up. I always said that when I grow up I hope to be as beautiful and as intelligent as she was. Through out her battle with cancer she always seemed to remain positive whenever I asked her how things were going, which impressed me so much. I will miss her always taking pictures at Christmas, I will miss her wonderful cooking, and I will miss her being "the organizer" of the family. I just want to Thank you Aunt Barb for being such a wonderful person, Aunt, and friend to my mother. I will miss you so very much.

Having married into the Rose family, I only knew Barb for what seemed to be such a very short time. I certainly never expected that she would leave us this soon.
...A wonderfully intelligent woman with a razor sharp mind, she was engaging to converse with.
...An overly compassionate woman with an exceptionally large heart, she was easy to lean upon.
...A beatifully joyful woman with a grand smile, she was fantastic to laugh with.
...A resolved and determined woman with a steel fortitude, she was simply astounding to admire.
...A Christ-like, loving woman with an eternal soul, she was reassuring to embrace.
It has been said that life isn't fair...but it simply shouldn't cheat this much...we'll all miss you dearly, Barbara Jean.

Dear Rose & Cloutier Family -
I am so sorry to hear of Barbara's passing.
Barbara was one of my first supervisors at 3M, I was just out of high school and beginning my career at 3M. I recall her being a pillar of strength woman. She was a hard working person and an achiever who I looked up to. She took the time to show me the ropes and teach me about working in a corporate environment. I had great respect for her then, and as I've grown in many ways since, I can see that many of the things she taught me, have stayed with me all this time... 14 years after meeting her. I am thankful that I knew her.
My Sincere Condolences

The battle is over and pain is gone. She will look down upon you from the hands of God.
Love,

My Dear sister Barb lived a life that has been filled with love, caring and understanding. This was acquired through her lifetime. Tough as nails and soft as a orchid, she is the perfect example of what one can do in life with determination and drive, of which I only wished I'd of had. Words will never be expressed of how much I'll miss her telling me" Oh Lawrence"...
her special preparations for the holidays anf family get togethers and her presence in a room. She will always be remembered as being able to fit into any crowd. I love you my Dear Sister

Lance and family,
I remember Barbara from when I worked with her at 3M. She was always such a ray of sunshine. I will always remember her laughter and love of life. Barbara was a very special lady.
May God be your comfort in the days, weeks, and months to come. Her spirit will always be with you as she loved you so.
She will be missed greatly.
