THADDEUS MATTHEWS SAVAGE (Age 68)
On Monday, June 18, 2012, of Laurel, MD. Beloved husband of Jacinta Savage; father of Myra Savage-Boyd and Rita N. Wharton; step-father of Ana Brooks, Nikki Oliveros and Humberto Oliveros; brother of Gilder Downing. Also survived by many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Friday, June 22 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and at Montgomery Hills Baptist Church, 9727 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, MD, on Saturday, June 23 from 10 to 11 a.m. where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Interment Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.www.COLLINSFUNERALHOME.com

Words cannot convey our deepest heartfelt sympathy on the passing of Mr. Savage. We had the pleasure of knowing him as a customer the past 14 years. He quickly became one of our fondest friends and it was always a pleasure when he would just drop by for a chat. He will sorely be missed. Mr. Savage a man of God, hard worker who did his work in excellence and with integrity. Wise, kind, understanding and a fighter to the end. So glad that Mr. Savage received our "Father's Day" message we left on his phone. Family you are in our prayers, remember Proverbs 3:5&6. May God continue to comfort and strengthen you doing this time of loss.

Rest in peace Mr. Savage. God is first, the last, the beginning and the end. So rest in him. To the family and to my favorite "hairdresser" buddy Michelle, Mr. Savage was a very kind man and very hard working man. I will truly miss him around WRAIR. Stay up and be blessed.
