BETTYJEAN SCHENK
On Tuesday, April 5, 2011, BettyJean passed comfortably surrounded by family. Loving wife of Ron; mother of Kevin, Keith and Kirsten (Budd). The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 12 from 10 a.m. until the memorial service at 11 a.m. Services will be held at Ascension Lutheran Church, 7415 Buchanan St., Landover Hills, MD 20784. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in the name of BettyJean to the Ascension School Scholarship Fund.www.gaschs.com

We have such fond memories of Betty Jean - her energy, her concrete acts of kindness, and her honesty. Because our family is so far away, it meant a lot when she would invite us to family celebrations. She even introduced us to Maryland crabs! Most important, Betty Jean loved her family and loved the Lord. She is an example for all of us.
