I´m the wife of one of your buddies during Iraqi Freedom. I happen to be in Ford Island, Pearl Harbor and I saw the memorial for fallen soldiers in combat after 9/11. I want to share this photo I took during the sunset. We´re thinking of you and definitely not forgotten. I hope for this photo to reach the family and know that they´re in our thoughts.

We were celebrating Mother's Day with Mom and having a birthday celebration with your great niece when your daughter walked up. She is so beutiful!Your Mother anf Father was so happy to see her, that they took pictures with her and you know how your mom feels about pictures... Anyway I woke up this morning and a poem was laid on my heart...I believe this is a message from you.

I am so awed to be in heaven a wondrous place to be.
Friends and family gathered just to welcome me.
My jouney is finally over, a new one has begun.
Glorious and everlasting to be with God and Son.
Do not ponder and ask questions for it was time for me.
God took me when I needed Him, he set my body free.
I am at a place full of wonders, my pains forever ceased.
Have faith we'll meet again, in this it will ease your grief.
Those that trust in God, I will see again.
So walk in faith my loved ones until we meet again. ( Missing you always, your sister).

5 years. I still wake up some days and it feels as if you just left. I still laugh when I think of your jokes. I still stand and awe at the amazing effect you still have on people. There are so many people you blessed. The memories never fade. It has been the hardest pain for me to endure. I have learned that when we can't get through, God holds us by the hand. That this is not something I can get over, I just have to keep at better ways to deal with it. For 3 years I expected you to walk though the door, with Aiyana and Kelley. I just wanted so bad for you to walk in the door. I don't understand why you had to leave. I do understand that we can't live forever until we enter eternity. The only person I could truly talk to. The only one that really listened and understood me. I don't know what to do these days. Uncle...what do I do? I will continue to teach my children the example of diligence you showed, teach them who you are and what you stood for. That you aren't just a Soldier, you are a Soldier of the Most High. You are Great and made a difference in you life as well as others. 1 Timothy 1:12 I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength, that he considered me faithful, appointing me to his service.........You are very missed. Love you much, see you in paradise.. Thank you for what you done for Malik. Amazing. I remember the day everyone found out about your death. So many tears, moaning, asking why, so much pain. God gave you us. We had the honor and privilege to know you , everyone who had that chance. Was so blessed to be in the presence of someone so incredible. I always will remember what you told me before you left to Iraq. “Don't worry about me. I know where I am going, I pray that everyone else will make it to Heaven too.” Did you know we wouldn't see you again on this earth? What I do know, as soon as I step into o Heaven I'm looking for you. I will finally be able to talk your head off for all eternity. How about that. Striving to be the best I can be on this earth so that I complete my purpose and direct my children towards theirs. With God in the lead I think Ill make it. Pray for us , cheer us on, love you always. Wish that we had more time. It never seems to be enough of it. My kids are getting so big, I'm very proud of them. They excel in school, They are so different from each other, somehow they complete and compliment another. I'm very blessed..Rest In Eternal Peace

In memory of our beloved son Dwayne;

Words cannot describe how much we miss you. We are proud of the exceptional young man you had became, a loving son, a magnificent father and husband, a caring brother and uncle, a extraordinary soldier, a friend to many, and most of all, a faithful man of God. It is no surprise to us when we hear how our son was and still is a great influence to so many. You are a hero who gave his life for his country. You served with excellence in leadership and service, not only as a soldier for your country, but also a soldier of God. We thank God our Father for giving us the privilege of being your parents. We love you, and we’ll see you again.

April 27, 2008

Dwayne, I will miss you more than you know. I don't understand why you had to leave us but I know that God has a plan. You have answered the ultimate call. May we be so brave as to do the same. You have taken the step that we have not yet taken. You have excelled and achieved all you've set out to do. You have said, "Yes", where some of us say, "Maybe" or even "No". You once told me that we must be real, we can't pick and choose how and when we will serve God. And I thank God everyday that you were able to get that, and share with me that revelation. You have said we (sisters and brothers) taught you.... But I say, you have taught us. I, for one, will forever remember you for being an awesome man of God, an outstanding father to your daughter, and a most loving husband to your wife, an honorable son, a caring uncle, a great in-law, wonderful brother, and a friend to all. With all of the honors, and excellence you have achieved here with us and your highly evident walk with our Lord, Jesus Christ..... Brother, I am honored to be your sister. I love you so much, and I will make sure that you will not be forgotten. So, I will see you again Dwayne, in this I am sure....
Love Your Sister

Hey Uncle Dwayne, I just want you to know that you are so missed. I love you very much. Sometimes it feels so unbelievable that you are gone. Maybe because you are so much alive in Heaven. I can't wait to see you again. Then it will be forever and no one has to worry about you leaving again. Until we meet again I will hold on to your memory, smiles, jokes, and your ability to pursue and achieve. You are a true hero not just as a soldier, but also as a man. You did so much and affected so many lives, and did very good. I will say that all you did in such a short life had to have you tired. You are a great man, truly good, and humble. Now you can rest for eternity in the most beautiful resort there is, Heaven.

How important it is to seek the Kingdom of God just as CW2 Dwayne Moore. I miss him as I grew to become best friends with his sisters about 20 years ago. Dwayne was only a young teen at the time if not younger but the smile he kept on his face was always like sunshine. He never complained yes he was a very unique child. May God Bless him and family but I know that the Lord has a mission for him in heaven. He will be missed but he is not suffering he is in heaven, so for families who are still weeping, seek the Kingdom of God just as he has as an adult and in the meantime ask for the angel of comfort to comfort you during those sorrow moments or when it is hard to cope losing such a wonderful person in your lives. The Lord will deliver that to you just ask him.

In Memory of Dwayne ( Debra Estep )

Holding you all in my thoughts and prayers today.

The Wind on The Downs

“I like to think of you as brown and tall,
As strong and living as you used to be,
In khaki tunic, Sam Brown belt and all,
And standing there and laughing down at me.
Because they tell me, dear, that you are dead,
Because I can no longer see your face,
You have not died, it is not true, instead
You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe;
I hear you laughing as you used to do,
Yet loving all the things I think of you;
And knowing you are happy, should I grieve?
You follow and are watchful where I go.”

(Written by Marian Allen during World War l )

Two lines that I wish you to keep near your heart…….

“You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe”

I did not know Dwayne, but I am remembering on
this day he gave his all.
He is my hero.

I'm here to say that even though I only knew chief for a year I will miss watching the football games with you. In your own way you pushed me to be a better solider. To chief's family I am sorry for your loss and I will miss him. (Between me and chief: I'm sorry too chief) Wish I could say that face to face.

If this person can stand in battle to ensure my freedom, then I will stand in grief with his/her family to honor him/her. For every fallen HERO there is a bright star that shines in the evening sky to remind us of the cherished gift we were given – even if for too short a time.
My heart breaks again as I sign yet another guest book of another courageous young soldier who gave their life so selflessly. I wish I never found myself in a position to have to sign another guest book for the rest of my life, but I promised Le Ron A. Wilson (a dear friend KIA 7/6/07, 18yrs old) that neither he nor any like him would be forgotten and so I will continue until the day there is no longer the need.

“Soldier”
Written to Honor the Service of Our Fallen Soldiers

Soldiers write history…they pay the price
Many miles distant, you live the life
Entered the Battle of our own free will
Out of Duty for Country, and we’d do it still

We hope and pray that all will find peace
In God, in the flag, in memories of valor
Gone now, our pride and courage you see
“An Army of One” our motto forever

Willing to risk all for love of our Brothers
We’re still Your Soldiers…and we showed the way
Our Lives too short, now pray for the others
Lived free died Heroes in lands far away

Deep within souls all cherished our Service
We’ll always have what some never know
Courage and Honor, our names forever
Lived life with purpose…just our time to go

We march in the Heavens with Honor and Glory
Missions accomplished we fought the Good Fight
Many years from now…we’ll tell the full story
Until that Day we will live in the Light

Our lives we laid down in a land far away
Still watching o’er you this night and by day
No need to talk…just know we are with you
There in your hearts and we hear what you pray

Yes we are your soldiers
Our lives we laid down
Still We guard o’er you
Still Duty bound

Entered the Battle of our own free will
Out of Duty for Country, and we’d do it still
We’ll always have what some never know
Lived life with purpose…it was our time to go

"Now to him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glory without fault and with unspeakable joy, to the only God, our saviour, be glory and majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before time was, now, and in all ages to come, amen." To the Moore Family: My cousin, the late Melvin Jenkins and Fred Moore, Sr were best of friends as well as Melvin's devoted friend, Dwyane's aunt, Virginia. As that Melvin has gone home to be with the Lord, I would like to express my deepest sympathy to the Moore Family on his behalf in the homegoing of your loved one. While here on earth it's hard to understand why certain things must be, rest assured we will meet again in that home over there. Over there where there will be no more tears and every day will be like Sunday.Take comfort in knowing that Dwayne is now resting in the arms of our heavenly father.
Keep in mind that he will always be with you in your heart where you will always have many precious memories tolook back on. Keep looking to the hills from which comes your help for your help comes from the Lord.

To The Moore Family

We are sooo sooo sorry for you lost. How ironic that Dwayne lived as a Soilder and now will really really live...as a SOILDER!! We Bless God for Dwaynes life.
I (Joyce) remember when he was a little little boy and he didn't speak a lot, but he smiled a lot!! There is a peace to a silent smile. Dwayne took peace to the battlefield and left peace there. We all deeply appreciate Dwayne giving his life for our saftey. He will never be forgotten for his bravery. We thank you also for training him to be a wonderful person. Now he's put down the reigns of the life of man and is set for his wings. Not the military wings....The oh so Holy Everlasting Wings of God. We who love and continue to follow the steps of the Holy spirit will all see his silent smile again when we all get to Heaven with God and Dwayne!!!!

Love To You All

To the Moore Family:
When you don't understand, just trust God because He is God.He will never leave you or forsake you. He is a faithful God. He wants so bad to be with you all. His is our Father and He want to take care of His children. He will carry you through this difficult time. On days that it seems unbearable, just press in unto God and He will take you through. I know He will, because my son went home to be with the Lord on January 20, 2007 in Irag. I feel your pain and understand your suffering.
Love you in the Lord

I did not know your son and I do not know your family. However, I do understand the grief and pain of losing a loved one when it seems to be too soon. I know you must be very proud of his commitment and his sacrifice. God bless your family and your son--he was in Iraq to make a better world for all of us.
