Lucille Behmlander Obituary

Behmlander, Lucille May Bay City, Michigan Lucille May Behmlander, of Bay City, passed away Monday morning, March 23, 2015 at A New Beginning AFC Home in Hesperia, MI, surrounded by family and loved ones. Age 86. The daughter of the late Otto and Laura (Johndro) Smith, she was born on October 1, 1928. Lucille loved sitting in the sun and bonfires. On September 4, 1948 Lucille married Norbert F. Behmlander and he preceded her in death on June 3, 1999. She has been living in Hesperia for the last 3 years. Lucille is survived by her children, Donna Cross (husband Charlie Cross) of Hesperia, Debra Kamenar (husband William Kamenar) of Walkerville, MI and Timothy (Tim) Behmlander (wife Carol) of Standish; her grandchildren, Frank LaFontaine III, Johnathon (John) LaFontaine, Terri LaFontaine and Matthew (Matt) Gardyszewski; her great-grandchildren, Breanna LaFontaine, Ashlie LaFontaine, Hallie LaFontaine, Lindsay Hutchinson, Lexi Hutchinson, Madison Gardyszewski, Abbe Gardyszewski and Xander Gardyszewski; and many nieces and nephews. Lucille was also preceded in death by her siblings, Edna Hiteshaw, Geraldine (Jean) Gall, Harold Smith, Katherine (Kate) Smith, Lawrence Smith, Ella Meerdo, Donald (Sonny) Smith and Evelyn Smith Monville. It was Lucille's desire for cremation to take place. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 27, 2015 at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. Paul D. Theiss. Private inurnment will be in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation. www.gephartfuneralhome.com
