Lawrence Shirk Obituary

Lawrence (Lonnie) Shirk, 81, stepped into eternity to live forever with his Savior and all who have gone before him. He is survived by his wife, Lois, his son, Les (Pam) from Fort Myers, FL, his daughter Linda Davis from Modesto, CA, his sister Dorthy from Lodi, CA and four grandchildren. He is proceeded in death by his eldest daughter, Laura, and his brother Wally from Lodi, CA.
He graduated from Stanislaus State with a major in education while in the Navy Reserves. He went on to teach 5th grade. When he retired from both the Navy and teaching, he loved to visit the beach. One of his last requests was to go to the beach. He never met a stranger. He would stop and talk for what seemed like hours even if he had a schedule to keep. You always knew of his presence because the sound of his laughter that filled the room. He will be deeply missed.
The memorial service will be taken care of by Eaton Family Funeral in June.
