My thoughts and prayers go out to Dan's family. I got to know Dan through Wildcatters functions and watching him coach. Dan was always willing to stop and talk and say hi. I've only known him for a short time, but I will never forget him! I would have liked to get to know him and his family better. He was a good person. Dan was so proud of St. Joe and his accomplishments. People like him made it easier to be a Wildcatter. Thanks for your friendship. You will be missed. Untill we meet again. R.I.P. Dan

Dan was always a pleasure to be around and I had the best of times working with him at the Wildcatters. He was a big part of the Wildcatters success and gave 110%, just like in life. The Wildcatters will deeply miss his leadership as well as his friendship. Dan accomplished a lot in his shortened time with us but when god calls you on high, we have no say. Whenever you mention or hear about a St. Joseph standout, the name, Dan Scocca will always be heard. Rene, My heart goes out to you and your family, god bless all of you. We all are going to miss those funny times with Dan at the Wildcatters memorial golf tournaments; He was the best. I “KNOW”, the other Wildcats are waiting for you in heaven and Fred Stone is paving the way up the middle. DAN, R.I.P.

My heart breaks for Rene and the girls. I pray for them and the rest of the family. Danny was a great guy and who was so loved by all. My fondest memories of Dan were in St. Joe's elementary & h.s. coming to our house after basketball practice & my mom feeding the crew. (and I'm sure she is right now up there. ;) I also miss running into you at Sharky's. Danny was one of her favorites and was the most respectful. Always had a nice word and a smile. My brother Vince up until this very day always spoke highly of you. You will be missed my everyone. So sorry......rest in peace. xoxo

Deepest sympathies go out to the Scocca family from myself and the entire St. Joe family that has lost a truly dedicated friend and supporter. Danny always did life at 110%. His sports career at St. Joseph will always be one of my fondest memories. Especially the 1986 Championship football game vs.Bishop Eustace. I was walking the sidelines when I looked over at the bench to see Danny spitting blood out of his mouth from a ferocious hit that he had taken on the field. I said "Danny, are you ok ?" And he replied "I will be when I get back out on that field. Talk to coach for me". That's the type of man that Danny was. A courageous fighter that never would give up or give in. He gave me many memories and joy in my life as part of the St. Joe football family. I can truly say that we will never forget you, Danny. May God take you into his loving arms and keep you until we all meet again. R.I.P.

Danny, you were not only a dear friend to me, but a brother that I never had. My parents LOVED as a son. I don't know how to sum up decades of knowing you and your family. So many of my childhood and high school memories centered around hanging with you and Joey. To me, you were always that guy that everyone wanted to be around and that guys wanted to emulate. Your smile knew how to light up a room and your hugs could warm any heart. My family and I will forever keep you, Renee, and the girls in our thoughts and prayers. May God give you peace and forever shine down on your family. I know you are finally with your mom. Our love now and always,

Danny, It's been over 20+ yrs since we crossed paths. I can still remember vividly visiting you with R. Rosa from PSU on our first voyage to Bucknell. (Great Times!!) I always like to think that life is made up of all the life experiences that we have shared with friends, family and loved ones. In your honor, I hope that we can all hold these memories for the rest of our lives. Although, I've never met Rene or your children, as a father of two young boys I can only imagine the heartache that is being felt. I pray that family and close friends will provide the strength and support for your wife and children through these difficult times. God Bless you my friend .. My thoughts and prayers with you and your family.

You appeared in a dream of mine last night. You looked like you did in high school and you were very happy. You asked me where you could find the combo; not exactly sure what you were asking for, but I redirected you to another line; you said with all of those people, we laughed about it, and off you went. As I was headed back that direction, we shared a smile and off I went. (I don`t know what it all means, but I thought I should share it.) My heart aches for Rene, your girls and all others that were so close to you. You will be forever missed. Rest in Peace Danny.
