Dear Steve and Family,
Please accept my condolences on the passing of your Father. I never met him, but heard some many good things about him through you. There is an old saying that a man's wealth is determined by the fruit that he bears; and from your characther I can tell that he was a man rich in character. Again, you have my deepest sympathay.

To the entire Boyd Family: The loss of your loving family member I know has been a great emotional burden on yourselves. When we read about his death, it was raining outside, which reflected your tears. Then, of course, Fathers Day, and instead of telling stories on a porch, you spent it at the wake thinking of days past with family and friends. Today, the day of the funeral, it is bright, sunny, and warmer. Again, a strong reflection of how new life will be in Heaven for all of us. Remember the times, of fun and laughter, to temper out the sadness of a great man resting in peace with Christ in everlasting life. Peace be with all of you.

John and I had worked together, in various capacities, for 40 years.Without a doubt he was one of the nicest, helpful, hard working, cheerful men one could ask for. He was proud of his Buffalo background and often spoke lovingly of his Mother and his loving family. He will surely be missed by his family and friends and will always be remembered by those he was in contact with during his working years.

A gentle giant. That's a phrase that gets thrown around quite a bit, but never more aptly than describing this strong formidable man who never missed an opportunity for a simple act of kindness. His beautiful wife and family were the center of his universe, and while I am sure they will grieve his loss, I am equally sure they will forever be grateful for having had him in their lives. In a family of really nice people, you still couldn't resist the gravitational pull of Mr. Boyd and you would forget your fear of what would happen when you offered your hand to that bear paw as you were hypnotized by the twinkle in his eye. I am sorry for your loss. He will be missed, but he will always be remembered.
