John Humer Obituary

John Lewis Humer, 72, died in Klamath Falls, Ore., on Oct. 2, 2015. Private services will be held at Eternal Hills Funeral Home. John was born on May 31, 1943, in Findley, Pa., to John and Hilda Humer. The family moved to Arizona, where he graduated from San Pasqual Valley High School. He then attended Imperial Valley Community College and then San Diego State University. He married Joyce Lubke in 1968 in Klamath Falls. He worked in the timber industry before becoming a field supervisor for Basin Transit. John was a member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, the Elks Lodge and the Hoo Hoo Club. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Humer; son, John Humer; brothers, Henry and Samuel Humer; sisters, Kathleen Ball and Martha Benjamins; two grandchildren; nine honorary grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Eternal Hills Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
