Basil Antonucci Mass is on Monday for former Clifton resident and retired plant engineer, 76 Basil Antonucci of Carthage, N.C., formerly of New Jersey, passed away after a short illness on Feb. 9, 2015, at the age of 76. Visiting will be held in Paul Ippolito Memorial, 252-256 Henry St., Orange, N.J., on Sunday, Feb. 15, from 1 to 5 p.m. The funeral will be held on Monday, Feb. 16, in the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. followed by the Funeral Mass in St. Philomena Church, Livingston, N.J., at 10:30 a.m. Entombment is in Gate of Heaven Mausoleum, East Hanover, N.J. Basil was born and raised in Orange, N.J., and lived in Clifton, N.J., then Albrightsville, Pa., for eight years before moving to Carthage, N.C. He worked as a plant engineer for C.R. Gibson Co. in Clifton for over 35 years before retiring. He was the beloved husband for 36 years of Lorraine (nee Finizio); loving father of Joseph (Stephanie) Antonucci, Karen Antonucci, Joan Langlois, and his stepson, Steven Sandra; loving brother of Gennaro (Debra) Antonucci, Anthony (Judy) Antonucci, Joseph (Eleanor) Antonucci, Michael (Michelle) Antonucci, Phyllis Iatesta, and the late John and Richard Antonucci; brother-in-law of Gail Antonucci and Joanne Venza, and proud grandfather of Brandon Langlois.
