John Spriggs, 59, of Madison, Ohio passed away peacefully Friday, September 26, 2025, at home surrounded by family after a battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born October 13, 1965, in Euclid, Ohio to the late Donald Ray Spriggs and Ruth Eleanor Spriggs (Barnard). John loved his family, especially the love of his life, Dawn (Shannon) Spriggs, whom he married on April 14, 1989. Their union welcomed two children and together they shared almost 37 years of marriage. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and riding his Harley. You could always find him building or fixing something in his garage. According to his grandkids, there was nothing broken their Papa couldn't fix. He loved to play his drums and just be with his family. He also enjoyed his work family at ACI who went above and beyond during his battle with cancer. John is survived by his wife, Dawn Spriggs; children, Kayla (John) Bentley and John Spriggs Jr.; his grandchildren, Gabryella Dean, Peightyn, Layla and Rowyn Bentley; his siblings, Donnie (Tracy) Spriggs, Rocky Spriggs, Brenda Spriggs, Candy Hannah and Shane (Anna) Spriggs. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and many cousins. He is followed in death by his parents Donald Ray Spriggs and Ruth Eleanor Spriggs (Barnard); his sister, Julie Sullivan; his maternal and paternal grandparents; his mother-in-law, Peggy Shannon and father-in-law, Nick Shannon. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2025, from 5-7pm at Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Road, Geneva, Ohio 44041 (440) 361-CARE. www.LakeErieCrematory.com
