For Jeane...
WEEP NOT FOR ME
Do not weep for me when I no longer dwell among the wonders of the earth; for my larger self is free, and my soul rejoices on the other side of pain...on the other side of darkness.
Do not weep for me, for I am a ray of sunshine that touches your skin, a tropical breeze upon your face, the hush of joy within your heart and the innocence of babes in mothers arms.
I am the hope in a darkened night. And, in your hour of need, I will be there to comfort you. I will share your tears, your joys, your fears, your disappointments and your triumphs.
Do not weep for me, for I am cradled
in the arms of God. I walk with the angels, and hear the music beyond the stars.
Do not weep for me, for I am within you;
I am peace, love, I am a soft wind that caresses the flowers. I am the calm that follows a raging storm. I am an autumns leaf that floats among the garden of God, and I am pure white snow that softly falls upon your hand.
Do not weep for me, for I shall never die, as long as you remember me...
with a smile and a sigh.

Thank you Ms. Kirkpatrick for all your service to the United States as Ambassador to the UN and as counselor to Ronald W. Reagan, and last but not least for your exemplary teaching at Georgetown University for so many years.

Jeane was a wonderful woman--not only brilliant and distinguished, but fun! She was a trailblazer for women, an inspiration and sometimes a gadfly. She's a great loss for us all. My condolences to her family; their mother and grandmother was surely precious and unique.

The first time I ever heard Dr. Kirkpatrick speak I new what it meant to be truly inspired by another's ideas and explanations.
America is both brighter for having known this great thinker and darker now that she is gone.
I will miss her.

She was always an inspiration for me and I read all of her books. She told us that in foregin policy we should not fear the hawks or the doves, but the ostriches. She was truly a trailblazer for women and those of use who advocate a global role for the United States.

I met Dr. Kirkpatrick at OU a few years ago. She was very gracious. She was a wonderful ambassador for Oklahoma as well as the United States.

I'm still in shock on hearing this news.
Jeane Kirkpatrick was one of the most profoundly brilliant dedicated patriots in recent memory.
Her ambassadorship at the UN was a model for John Bolton; her brilliance in that spot made Americans CHEER! Here finally was someone who was on OUR side!
Jeane Kirkpatrick is one of the few people I've met who made a lifelong impact on me. I always followed what she was doing, and I still think the country was cheated that she didn't go into elective office.
God bless this brilliant woman! And God blessed us that we had her in public service at a time she was so desperately needed.

I first met Jeane Kirkpatrick in 1996 and treasure our time together. She was a bright-articulate-wise-shining star that will leave an ever lasting legacy for the state of Oklahoma and her fellow Americans. May God forevermore bless Jeane Kirkpatrick, her family and friends.

It is with much sadness that I learn of the passing of Ambassador Kirkpatrick. Dr. Kirkpatrick represented our nation with dignity and conviction. Possessed of an ability to articulate her views with logic and clarity, she used her position to promote mutual understanding between the United States and the global community, while never taking a step backward from what she believed to be right. She was a rarity in the world of diplomacy and she will be sorely missed.

Ms. Kirkpatrick was a legend in her own right. You have to respect her for being a person who was very upfront and direct. She will be missed by many. My sympathies to her family and close friends. (Isaiah 33:24)

Dr. Kirkpatrick was, first and last, a great patriot who spoke for America. A humble daughter of Oklahoma, she rose to unprecedented heights in service to her country. America has lost a true treasure. In gratitude, let us all say, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant."
