EDWARD KAPLAN Obituary
Dr. Edward Steven Kaplan, 84, of Memphis, TN died July 18, 2017. He was married to Linda Stone Kaplan for 59 years. He was the father of Dr. Andrew Stone Kaplan (Dr. Nathalie Feldman) and Dr. Jeffrey Stone Kaplan (Amanda Green) and had four grandchildren and brother-in-law Warren R. Stone (Virginia). He was a 1955 graduate of Yale University, received his MD from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, and his Residency was at the Mayo Clinic, He practiced Neurosurgery in Memphis for 37 years. He was a brilliant neurosurgeon and a humble Renaissance man.

Eddie was a special student and friend during our years together at Snowden and Central High School. Eddie fulfilled the vote of confidence that his classmates at Central High honored him with: Most Likely to Succeed.

I worked with Dr Ed Kaplan as a Cat scan tech back in the late 70's , early 80's at Baptist Hospital Central. He was a kind man to both his patients and to the people he worked with. I remember him as a thoughtful and caring man and doctor. RIP Dr. Ed
