I loved Paul. Paul was my roommate for all 4 years at Bates College. I'll never forget meeting him. I opened the door to my dorm room with my parents at my side. Paul was sitting there in shorts and no shirt having just finished football practice. He didn't drop a beat, he opened the bottom dresser drawer, pulled out a beer and said, do you guys want one? I almost died, but that was Paul; friendly, outgoing and authentic, not a phony bone in his body! I met my wife at Paul's wedding to Nancy. I worked for Paul at Surf Chevrolet. I am honored to have known Paul and his family . Rebekah and I send our heartfelt prayers to the entire Ashley family. God Bless you all!
