Dan D. Dunwody, Jr., 80, died Wednesday, April 18, 2007. Mr. Dunwody, son of the late Daniel Delzell Dunwody, Sr. and Mary Frances White Dunwody, was born February 12, 1927 in Macon, Georgia. Mr. Dunwody founded Dunwody Insurance Agency, Inc in 1976 and has served as Chairman of the Board since 1982. Mr. Dunwody is survived by his wife, Helen Longino Dunwody, their four children, their spouses, and ten grandchildren : Daniel Delzell Dunwody III, DDS, and wife, Janet Stuckwish Dunwody, DDS , sons, Daniel IV and David, of Duluth, Georgia; Adele Dunwody Reichert and husband, Robert A. B. Reichert, children, Bowen and Thomas; J. Douglas Dunwody and wife, Layne Goldburg Dunwody, children, Eryn and Damon Dunwody, and Mary Patterson Dunwody and husband, William F. Monfort, Jr. and their children, William III, Claudia, Daniel Benjamin, and John Patterson of Macon, Georgia. Mr. Dunwody is also survived by his brother, John Alfred Dunwody, John's wife, Mary Sizemore, and their children, Laura, married to Jim Roberts, and Paul, married to Mitzi Holloway. The family will receive friends in Macon, Georgia from 5 - 7 p.m., Friday at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church. A private burial service will be held at Riverside Cemetery. The memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday at Mabel White Memorial Baptist Church with the Rev. David Franklin, Rev. Stephen N. Johnson, and Rev. Malcolm Davis officiating.
