Mary Pat:
Not sure if you remember me, I am Hannah Holmes. We were very good friends in grammar school at Stratford Academy. Used to play "restaurant" together at my house in Country Club and pretend to be "Debbie" and "Diane". I remember going on several trips to Lake Rabun with your family and you going with my family on trips to Satilla River Club. My dad passed away about 14 years ago. Just wanted to pass on my sympathy and remember your father fondly. Hope you and your family are well!

Dear Dunwodys – Dad called me this morning to inform me about the loss of your Husband / Dad. We wanted to let all of you know that your family will be with us in our prayers. Your homes in Macon were like my second ones, from our Cub Scout troop meetings in grammar school to our high school gatherings. Your Dad was always there with his special smile and unique wit. I will also never forget the trips with your family to Lake Rabun. Macon has surely truly lost one of the “Good Guys”. Take care and may God bless all of you.

Dear Helen, I will miss Dan's energy and wit. He was pres. of our '49 class at Mercer, and chaired the fun reunion in '99.
I taught Doug at Monroe Academy about 1972. That was fun, too.

Dear Helen and Family,
During the fall of 1996, while Diane and I were still dating, Dan took us on a romantic "Golden Pond" cruise on Lake Rabun. He liked to claim that it was that boat ride that got us together, and he took pride in reminding us that our marriage was all his doing!
Diane and I have always thought of Dan Dunwoody as the true Southern Gentleman, and will forever cherish his role in our relationship.
We feel especially blessed that the Lord allowed our paths to cross, if only for a brief time.
