Family-Placed Death Notice
FAUNTLEROY, Emma Emma Fauntleroy, 100, of Jonesboro, Ga, departed this life on Tuesday August 2, 2011. She was born in Meriwether County, Ga, later moving to Atlanta where she married Eugene Fauntleroy. She worked as a domestic for a number of years before being employed by the Fulton County School System from which she retired in 1976. She is survived by a daughter, Ylonda Fauntleroy, son-in-law, Anthony Schoonmaker Sr, grandchildren Michelle, Anthony Jr., and Stacey Schoonmaker, sisters-in-law Bernice Taylor and Alice Turner, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Visitation TODAY 9AM-9PM, family hour 6PM-8PM. Celebration of Life services on Tuesday August 9, 1PM, at Rice Memorial Presbyterian Church, 1515 Brewer Blvd Southwest Atlanta, Ga 30310 (404) 752-7471. Services entrusted to Gregory B. to the family of mrs. emma fauntleroy....my heart goes out to u....i worked with mrs. emma at carestone for the time she was there and grew very attached to her...we called her granny...when the told me my granny passed i was hurt..but then i realized she lived a beautiful live...she lived to see a century and most people dont live to see 21 so she was blessed and highly favored is Gods eyes....now she can rest in the arms of the Lord and look down on us as we go on our days.....Mrs. Emma use to ask everyone for 20 cent to get on the bus at carestone...well she finally on that bus to glory with God as the driver....i'm going to miss this lady here....i love u Mrs. Emma and u will always be in my heart!!!!!

EMMA (MOMMA)TOUCHED MY LIFE WITHIN THE LAST 7 MONTHS I'VE BEEN EMPLOYED AT THE CENTER. IT WAS A PLEASURE AND INDEED AND HONOR TO HAVE KNOWN HER. SHE HAD SO MUCH WISDOM AND HUMOR.
