P. Pearson Obituary

Pearson, P. Thomas (Tom)
Tom Pearson, 50, was taken from his family on November 10th, 2011. Tom was born in Kemmerer, Wyoming in 1961 to Paul and Sharron Pearson. He grew up in Daniel, WY and graduated from Sul Ross State University in Alpine, TX. He rodeoed professionally for six years, competing in saddle bronc riding. He met his wife, Vicki, in 1989 in Scottsdale, AZ, where they would settle to raise their three beautiful daughters (Presley, now 19; Sheridan, 17; and Layne, 14). Tom was, first and foremost, a loving Christian father who expressed his love for his children through his involvement in all aspects of their lives. Tom co-owned and operated Battery Warehouse in Phoenix and Battery Center in Mesa. He was a board member of the Phoenix Mens Art Council and past Chairman of the Cowboy Artists of America exhibition at the Phoenix Art Museum, an active member of the youth soccer community, and a youth football coach. Tom also loved being outdoors, where he spent time camping, downhill skiing, and fishing. Tom is survived by his wife and three daughters, and he will be sorely missed by his numerous friends and family. A memorial service to honor his life will be held on Saturday, November 19th at 1pm at Light of the Desert Lutheran Church in Cave Creek, AZ. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Tom Pearson Memorial Fund at Wells Fargo Bank, the Scottsdale Road and Pinnacle Peak Branch.

Dear Vicki:

Our deepest condolences on the loss of your husband and father to your daughters. The pain of the loss will never go away. You have your good memories to keep you going. You will have your good day and bad days. Tom was a good man and I am very pleased to have known him. We can look forward to seeing him again in our next life. I know that since we lost our son the thought of leaving this earth does not scare me anymore.
Our prayers are with you and the girls always.

I will always remember how Tom always waved when we walked by your home in Los Gatos when we walked our dogs in the morning.

Long-after this Guest Book is closed, Tom will live-on in my own mind and heart for many years to come.
- I just wish that I could THANK him, "one-more-time", for being such a Personable & Helpful Man towards SOOOO many people, and affecting soooo many lives, in such lasting-ways, during his lifetime.

We will ALL miss him greatly ... and know that His Family will miss him even-more, during all the Holidays and Birthdays and Anniversaries that will come around.

~ Please know that I and my brother, Mike, and my son, Brian, had been part of helping Tom & Roger to grow in the battery business for many years ... and are open to helping the Family in any way that we can, if you should need a Listening Ear or a Helping Hand, now or in the future.

I had the pleasure of knowing Tom for many years as a member of the Men's Arts Council at the Phoenix Art Museum and working on the Cowboy Artists of America sales and exhibitions. Tom helped raise millions of dollars to support the museum. Tom and I celebrated our western heritage and I shared a CAA trail ride with him at the Diamond Tail Ranch in WY. Tom was a guy whose word and handshake was all that was needed to bind a deal. His contributions to our community will be greatly missed.

Sometimes you meet a man, and within a few minutes you sense he is man of quality, a man whose friendship is worth having. I knew Tom for 15 years, and for many of those years I saw him sparingly, but on each occasion, my initial sense of Tom was confirmed. He was a very good man, and his friendship was well worth having. I will miss your firm hanshake and ready smile Tom. Rest in peace.

Though I have a tremendous hole in my Heart for all the sorrow that has unexpectedly hit Tom's wife, his three girls, his co-workers, his neighbors and friends, as well as all of his family members who live around the country ... I KNOW that Tom would have us grieve together, and help one another during such a heavy time ... and then he would want us ALL to get back up on the horse, and learn to ride again ... without holding onto the reins of fear.
~ I will remain sad for many years to come, but I will Remember a man that I have always Admired from a distance ... and I will strive to Embrace LIFE like he always did ... so that his Spirit can Live-On Within me. (Amen)

I absolutely loved this guy and enjoyed razzing him as well as talking with him at the Pinnacle tennis matches and at the Marriott. He was just simply first class and he clearly loved all 4 of his girls.
We were all blessed to have him in our lives.
