Cynthia Whitfield Obituary
58 of Flagstaff, passed away on March 26, 2015. Was born in Phoenix, Arizona and passed away on March 26, 2015. She believed in maintaining high expectations for herself and others. She always set examples for her family and friends by obtaining her Masters and Doctorate degrees at Arizona State University. She moved to Oakland, California where she taught and changed the lives of many students at Merritt College. She opened a multicultural toy and book store that ensured everyone had access to books, art, jewelry and toys. What she sold represented the beauty in diversity. She loved opportunities to educate others of the many cultures we have in our world. She was very fashionable and had an amazing sense of humor. She will be remembered for her strength, her wisdom, her honesty and her amazing fashion sense. Her mother Amanda Ball, her sister Katherine Scroggins and her numerous nieces and nephews will cherish her memory and remember her as an educator and an advocate of all. She will always be loved and missed. Services entrusted to Universal Memorial Center.
