John will surely be missed. I know he is in a better place now free from pain and cancer. I first met up with John in 2005 when I signed on as his web designer editing and maintaining his website as well as the websites of many of his friends. I met with him last in late March. He looked good even though he may not have been. He will be sorely missed. God Be With You Till We Meet Again.

I never had the privaledge of meeting John in person but for quite some time John and I shared almost daily e.mails about our mutual fight against esophagus cancer. He went through so much and had his "down" days but he always seemed to bounce back and retain his sense of humor. I got involved with my parents illnesses and lost contact with John over the last several months. Now I feel so bad that I hadn't kept up the correspondence. I was shocked and very saddened to hear of John's passing after such a hard and difficult fight. He really went through more then his fair share of the EC battle. My deepest sympathy to his mother and his sisters for their loss. No doubt that John is playing his music in heaven now where there is no more pain or worry.

I only knew John because of an online message board about Colombia (South America). He was friendly, sweet, gave great advice, and full of life and passion. I am sorry that he passed on, and give his family my warmest thoughts.

Johnny "B" fought a long and courageous battle, winning twice! I first met Johnny 20 years ago at our local Pavilions car show where he was the DJ for nearly 20 years, and he was the best. He was full of life and a real jokester. Aside from all the nice cars and friends, he made Saturday night. It really won't be the same without him. I was proud to be his friend and always did what I could to help out these last difficult 4 years. I last talked to Johnny on the 1st and he was upbeat and going to beat this monster. He did his best, the memorial ceremony on the Thursday April 9th was a great tribute. Again, I extend my sympathy to his mother and three sisters. God-speed Johnny, I'll miss you.

I knew Johnny for about seven years. We got to know each other while i was the restaurant manager at the pavillions. I saw him about three weeks ago and was able to sit down and talk with him for quite awhile. I am so thankful that i had that time to spend with him. Johnny was always a good friend to me and was always there to brighten up my day. He will be sorely missed. I feel blessed that I knew him as long as I did. He will always be in my thoughts.

Johnny B was the DJ at the McDonald's we own for the Classic Car Show. He was the DJ for 20 years and I know that he truly loved being there. Johnny was a big part of the show...he knew most of the regulars, played the music they wanted and joked with them all. He will missed! I appreciated his 20 years of helping to build the car show and his friendship. Keep playing the music Johnny...we're all listening!

I never met John, and only "knew" him through Internet postings. His passion and sense of humour were highly regarded by many people. And his gentle decency and struggle against esophageal cancer touched many hearts around the world.

John was a very good and personal friend of mine. We originally met in Colombia, South America around 1996 or 97. We shared many happy times together there when I operated a Bed and Breakfast facility. I have treasured photos of us together and we quickly became friends. John also sent me photos last year of when the Auto-show organizers held a special evening for him in Phoenix.
We maintained almost daily contact via emails since the late 90's and we had planned to travel together again.
I called him the last time sometime around mid-March and he informed me that he needed stomach-hernia surgery and that they would take out the feeding tube. I only found out on April 7 that he had the heart attack.
I was diagnosed with prostate cancer last year and John was always supportive of my situation as I was his. We shared a mutual living hell but we also buffered each others spirts. John was extremely courageous in his numerous battles against this terrible affliction and we both prayed for each other.
I miss him more than I can express here with mere words.
God Bless you Johnny (Jump-up)!
Your friend always.

I am Harold Mohrs grand-daughter. Johnny was my cousin. I was so very sad to learn that he passed away. I have the most wonderful memories of him when I was in highschool! He used to come pick me up at Thunderbird Academy and take me out to lunch in his sportscar. He was always concerned that I wasn't in tuned enough with popular music and used to make me cassette tapes! He was also responsible for my first real hamburger. I will always cherrish his memory and friendship. My heart is breaking for you and the rest of the family. Please send my love to aunt Evelyn.
