William Foster Obituary
William L. Foster "Bill" 81, of Phoenix passed peacefully at home on Saturday, March 7, 2015 surrounded by family. He dedicated his life to service and family. He served in the Navy during the Korean War and was deployed to the Philippines. Subsequently he served 20 years on the Arizona Highway Patrol badge #73. He is survived by his wife Donna; his sister Janet Rae Kippen; his children David and Susan Foster, Darlene Foster, Will and Felicia Foster and Amber Arnhold; his grandchildren Kelly, Delaney, Amy, Elijah, Christina, Kaylee and Sarah. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, March 16, 2015 at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 North Cave Creek Road. Memorial donations may be made to the 100 Club of Arizona, 5033 N 19th Ave #123, Phoenix, AZ 85015, 602-485-0100.

The Foster family has reason to be proud of Bill. He was such a good man. And, incidentally his dad was too. Bill: Smart. Funny. Enthusiastic. A valued and important cog in the early days of the DPS. Those of us fortunate enough to be there when the Legislature created the DPS out of the Highway Patrol and all the several other State sponsored law enforcement agencies had the opportunity to advance the cause and grow professionally. Bill and I hit it off greatly when he became an Arizona Highway Patrolman wearing badge #120 until promotions and renumbering schemes changed all of the badge numbers. We worked side by side on the highways of Phoenix Metro area until our separate promotions took us in different directions. Rest in Peace my brother. /s/ Larry Beddome 56

Thinking of you Donna & the family. Such great memories of shared fun times in better days! I will fondly think of him with that smile and twinkle in his eye, and in the loving arms of my parents and his loved ones that have gone before him. I'm really sorry for your loss!
