Ruth Lebovitz Obituary



Ruth Halpern Lebovitz, marriage and family counselor has died. She was 88. Dr. Lebovitz was a professional therapist who was driven by a desire to help others. She earned her Doctorate in Social Work (DSW) from the University of Pennsylvania in 1968. Dr. Lebovitz was also an accomplished musician, studying violin, piano and dance. She was a loving mother to her sons, Roger and Richard Lebovitz, a devoted wife to her husband, Philip Lebovitz, and a friend to many in the communities in which she lived, most recently Burlington, Vt. A Graveside service will be held at the BHC Cemetery at 318 Berrymans Lane in Reisterstown at 10:30 am on Sunday August 3.
