Harold Wintersteen Obituary

Harold "Hair Bear" Wintersteen Marshall Harold Duane "Hair Bear" Wintersteen, 56, of Marshall, died October 2, 2010 at Oaklawn Hospital. He was born February 20, 1954, the son of Frank and Glena G. (Shole) Wintersteen in Coldwater. Harold attended Marshall High School and served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He later worked as a welder at Walker Mufflers. He was preceded in death by his wife of 34 years, Karen Wintersteen on September 19, 2008; his parents and brother, Edward Wintersteen. He is survived by his son, Byran (Gina) Wintersteen of Marshall; daughters, Sharon Wintersteen and Natasha Wintersteen, both of Marshall; grandchildren, Breanne Bess, Bridgette Bess, Brooke Wintersteen, Alexis Baxter and brother, William Wintersteen. Harold enjoyed hunting, fishing and working on old cars. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 7, 2010 at Shaw Funeral Home. Interment, 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Fort Custer National Cemetery with Pastor Dennis Hall officiating. The family is being served by Shaw Funeral Home, Battle Creek. www.shawfuneralhome.com
