Brother Frederic ALTENBURG

ALTENBURG - Brother Frederic F.S.C 80, of Lincroft died Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at De La Salle Hall, Lincroft, NJ. He was born in Buffalo, N.Y. and had received the Holy Habitat of the Christian Brothers, on September 7, 1948. Brother Frederic was a graduate of Manhattan College, New York City where he earned a master of Theology Degree and State University of New York, Buffalo where he earned a Master of Library Science Degree. His assignments included La Salle Institute, Troy, N.Y., Bishop Loughlin High School, Brooklyn, N.Y., De La Salle Institute New York City, St. Joseph's School, West New York, Cardinal Spellman High School, Bronx, N.Y., Manhattan School of Theology, New York City, St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute, Buffalo, N.Y., De La Salle College, Washington, D.C., St. Joseph's College, Buffalo, N.Y., Paramus Catholic High School, Paramus, Manhattan College. He had been in residence at De La Salle Hall since 2006. He is survived by a brother, Ronald Altenburg, Florida. The viewing will be held at De La Salle Hall on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM. The Mass of Christian Burial at De La Salle Hall will be celebrated at De La Salle Hall on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. followed by interment at. St. Gabriel's Cemetery, Marlboro Township. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to De La Salle Nursing Development, 810 Newman Springs Road, Lincroft, NJ 07738 would be appreciated.
