Dear Michelle & Family, Bruce had a wonderful spirit about him, caring, generous with a sense of humor. Working with him at J&J Personal Lines he was "one of the girls", lol - you could talk to him about anything & know that he genuinely cared. He loved you all so very much, find comfort in that & how many lives were made better & touched because his path crossed it. Bruce was the best!! May God & the memories shared bring you much peace & comfort.

Bruce was a great friend while we were classmates at Bishop England High School, and now I regret even more letting that friendship lapse when I moved away after graduation. I remember Bruce well for the warmth and sincerity he projected in all things he did. To Bruce's family, I knew Bruce way back in grade school and high school. I remember him as one of the sweetest, smartest kids in class. Dear Howard Family Please accept our prayers and condolences. Bruce was such a cool, low key, and mellow guy. I remember many years ago he helped me coach the kids baseball team when there was no coach available and no one else to help out. His easygoing lovable demeanor made it fun for both me and the kids ... don't even remember if it was a winning team, but that didn't really matter to Bruce he just wanted the kids to learn the game and have fun. I'll miss occasionally bumping into him around the Island, I wish I'd known him better.

Long ago when Yorktown Dr. was new, I had the chance of meeting Bruce thru Kim Patrick and others.He was the friendliest,happy,kind,thouhtful and great friend to all who knew him.It has been a while since I saw Bruce, but have always thought of him in the years that passed.His passing was still a heart felt occurance.I still pray for him and always will.His family,even though I never met them, had one of the best.I'm sure it worked both ways.My love to you all.God bless

Bruce was a good friend to me growing up. We used to ride our bikes to the bridge on folly road and fish all day. If we were not fishing, we were golfing, working on our cars or just hanging out. My fondest memory of Bruce is from the night his son, Keith, won a music competition. I remember him, with camera in tow, having me pose with Keith for a picture, and I remember him just BEAMING with pride in his son. The Howard's are amazing people. theh have been in my life since I can remember. I can still think of all the times our families would come together and Mr. Bruce always had such a big smile on his face wherever he went. I look back at pictures of him, there's one particular that warms my heart. Mr. Bruce was holding me at my 1st birthday while I was not a happy camper. He was an incredible man. Him and mrs. Bruce and I were team mates and friends at Wells Fargo Insurance. He was kind and sweet, warm and funny, and had the gift of making other people feel like their life stories were important. He completely adored his children, and was always so proud to talk about their achievements - musically, academically, swim team, orchestra, proms, graduations. He spoke of Michelle with such love, respect and humor; she was the love of his life. I will miss my friend. My life has been richer and better because Bruce was in it. God rest your sweet soul, my dear friend. I hope to see you again one day.
