Grandpa Nicolay was a kind, compassionate, and humorous person. He always gave of his time and cooperation to assists others.
Grandpa & Granny Nicolay helped raise our son, Travis Williams, and did a masterful job of teaching him the "Golden Rule" - It is more blessed to give than to receive.
Travis is now 30 years of age, with a 6 year - old daughter named Kiara.
Our prayers and thoughts are with Granny Nicolay and the entire Nicolay family, as Grandpa Nicolay is delivered home to his maker.
Remember, even in death none of us are really ever alone. Jesus will provide comfort and security to the family, even as joy through sorrow will come in the morning.
Blessings to the Nicolay Family. Signed: Nadine, Preston, Travis, Kiara.

Grandpa, as long as I can remember, called every girl (young or old) a princess. I always loved hearing that. He was a great man and a kind and loving grandpa. Ever since I was little he would tell me he was proud of me. At first I would just brush it off as something sweet he would say. It took me years of making good and bad choices and still always hear it from him to realize he really meant it. The things I did didn't matter to him as much as who I was. He has always loved me and always will, and will always be proud of those he loves. I love him so much along with my grannie. I have always been proud of you both and the example you have set for me. Thanks for being mine. I love you grandpa and I love you grannie.

"70 years is our life span--80 years with special mightiness." ( Psalms 90:10) Leonard had 94 years of special mightiness. May your hearts be filled with wonderful memories of the times you spent together as you celebrate a life well lived.

God speed Uncle Leonard,
Although we have not seen each other for more years than I care to remember, I do have many fond memories of our visits. You always had a happy, cheerful and exuberant personality that others enjoyed.
You will be missed.

We are lucky enough to have shared many memories with both Granny and Papa Nicolay since we were babies. From pony rides on papa's knee to eating a bowl of gooseberries before dinner. We will always remember the many lessons learned from you both. Papa was always positive and uplifting, he will always be remembered as the man who could bring a smile or a laugh.
With love, Ashley and Megan
