David Huckins Obituary
David was born July 21, 1933, in Northfield, one of 14 children to Guy and Blanche (Hawkins) Huckins. He was a building contractor and started Damy Realty, which was instrumental in developing the elderly housing in Tilton and Franklin, as well as other apartment complexes in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont.
David was known in the world of antique cars for his beautiful restoration of his Chrysler automobiles. He took great pride in being able to say he restored each one from the frame up. To him, was there any other make of car besides a Chrysler product?
David was a former trustee of Iona Savings Bank, a member of the PALS car club, the American Legion Post 49 and the B.P.O.E. 1280. He was a generous man and supported many organizations including Easter Seals of New Hampshire.
David lovingly leaves his wife, Nancy (Davidson) Huckins, and his large family that he cherished. They include daughter, Bonnie Bleggi and husband, Bernard; son, David and wife, Lisa; son, Ronald; son, Roland and Michelle; son, Brian and wife, Carlissa; son, Ross Phelps and wife, Julie; daughter, Katy Brophy and husband, Colm; daughter, Jill Griffin and husband, David; daughter, Mary Beaudin and husband, Robert; and son, Alex Phelps and wife, Jodi. Grandchildren include Tim Barnes, Nicholas and Bud Bleggi; Tammie, Dennis, Joseph and Matthew Huckins; Brian Huckins, Julie O'Brien, Jacqulyn Riendeau, Emily Huckins, Chelsea and Aja Huckins; Jason, Shawn and Curtis Huckins; Mackenzie and Avery Phelps; Taylor, Connor and Chandler Reagan; Sawyer and Emerson Brophy; Lauren, Evan and Ben Griffin; Patrick Mosa and Nicholas Beaudin; and Lindsey and Sydney Phelps. Great-grandchildren include Courtney and Jonathan Barnes; Teagan and Caiden Gamble; Lucy and Audrey Huckins; Addison O'Brien; and Liv Riendeau and Shane Huckins. "Papa" was looking forward to the births of three more great-grandchildren later this year. He is also survived by sisters, Barbara Cooper and Phyllis Havey.
David was predeceased by his first wife, Lucille Bordeau; son, Dennis Huckins; brothers, Edward, Oscar, Raymond, Philip, Donald, Albert, Robert and Herbert; and sisters, Ruth, Mary and Betty.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, Aug. 7, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Paquette-Neun Funeral Home, 104 Park St., Northfield.
Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the TNS Christmas Fund, c/o Thomas Gallant, 131 Colby Road, Tilton, N.H. 03276.

Dear Nancy and family, my husband and I had just purchased a 1933 Chrysler Lebaron Custom Sport Phaeton CL that we were told David reported "the best in existence". We were hoping to find David in hopes of finding out more about our recent purchase, but we are so sorry to hear of his passing.We were also hoping to find some old pictures of this car thru David.
