Pauline, I was taking to Ted trompeter about this. He and I send our condolescences. We had fun at Caltrans. Also, I enjoyed playing golf with Jim and Vern in more recent years.
Our best wishes to you and all your family.

May God Bless the family of Jimmy Dehn. I have great memories of Jimmy when he played basketball at Vallejo High School. He was a friend of my sister's and I remember thinking how cool it was that he would come over to our home and visit with us. He was very kind to our family and he left a great impression on me. I really enjoyed my chance to visit with Jimmy after all these years at a recent "Winslow Gang Lucheon" He will be missed by all that knew him.

My prayers go to Jim's family, and a special thankyou for all the care that went into taking care of him. Jim was my first love and will always remain in my heart and soul. He was loved by many. Until we meet again.

It will be the little things that you will remember, the quiet moments, the smiles, the laughter.
And although it may seem hard right now, it will be the memories of these little things that help to push
away the pain and bring the smiles back again:
I am one of those caring nieces; I will always remember Uncle Jim's pep talks. As soon as I heard him say my name I knew exactly what he wanted. Time for a pep talk and as a kid I would think oh-man not another pep talk but now that I am older I think back on all of his pep talks and boy he was full of wisdom and sometimes I think man he knew what he was talking about and laugh. I know Uncle Jim gave me the pep talks because he loved me and wanted the best for me. As a kid I loved spending time at Uncle Jims and Aunt Paul's house. I would help Aunt Paul cook and clean and I helped Uncle Jim out in the yard, garden, and chopping wood. Boy did I think I was the best-est helper ever because he would tell me man you are doing a great job! Fun times at their house also included -there basement were we played pool, Atari, games, puzzles or outside swimming! My mom would even take my kids down one weekend during the summer and they to loved spending time there and yep Uncle Jim gave them the pep talks too. Thanks Uncle Jim for all the pep talks and I will truly miss you!
Aunt Paul, You're in our thoughts
Please know how much
you are loved
and how deeply
your loss is felt by all.
Hugs and Kisses Jamie

My condolences to the Dehn family.

Jim and I were friends from the time we were both in the same Boy Scout troop in the early 50's. Like a lot of friendships, ours drifted apart when we became adults and moved to different communities. However, I did manage to go to a few lunches with him with the "Gathering of Vallejoans" group. My memories of my youth will always include Jim. He was kind in his youth, and a gentle man as an adult.

Hugs to the Dehn clan.
