Dacia Knopick Obituary

KNOPICK Dacia Pixley Knopick, age 71 of Trumbull, a retired educator for the Stratford Board of Education, died Friday, November 14, 2008. Born in Bridgeport, she was a daughter of the late William G. and Vera Ra-dachowsky Pixley. She taught the fourth grade at Second Hill Lane School and the third grade at Nichols School for more than 30 years. She was a member of the Greater Bridgeport Retired Teacher's Association and had also volunteered at St. Vincent Medical Center. She previously operated Tours by Dacia, as well as, other affiliations. Survivors include her loving son, John W. Knopick; her fianc, John Delorme, both of Bridgeport; an aunt and uncle, Derith and John Hutchko of Fairfield; and several cousins. Funeral services will take place Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at 10 a.m. in Long Hill United Methodist Church, 6358 Main St., Trumbull. Interment will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield. Friends may call on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation, Inc., 103 Old Iron Ore Road, Bloomfield, CT 06002. To light a virtual candle, visit us at www.abriola.com.
