I am saddened to hear of the loss of a good husband and father.

He was taken so young with so much still to give in the life we know.

Bring the memories of the past forward, so you can embrace him forever.

Each morning as I entered Donut Inn to get my daily cup of coffee, I would be greeted by a gentle man with a big smile. Although we never exchanged names, we often chatted about his health and the challenges that he faced. Missing my Donut Inn friend this week, I asked one of the regulars where he was only to learn that he had passed away. Today I learned the name of the man who always wore a smile no matter how he was feeling; Gil Bilodeau. Mr. Bilodeau was one of those people you connected with almost immediately. He was kind, gentle and a true fighter.
I will miss the man who touched my life and my heart. My deepest sympathies to Mr. Bilodeau's family and friends.

I remember the first time I met him. He wanted a job as a cytotechnologist. He told me that he had a military background, knew what an employer wanted, and that I would never regret hiring him. I never did. He was a friend to the end, loved his family, and would give the shirt off his back for anyone in need. I will miss him.

Grew up next door to Billy and we spent a lot of time together as kids. I remember how he could never leave a stone or log unturned, always on the look out for some creepy crawly thing to add to his colection which was kept in a wagon, or the buckets filled with tadpoles from the swamp. Just one of the many memories I have of Billy from what today doesn't seem that long ago.
As you are memorialized on your birthday my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
The picture is from an Easter Sunday in 1964. Billy, Happy Easter!

Gil always made the time to listen. No matter what he was going through, or how busy his life must have been; working, raising his family, tending to his home, hitting the gym, fishing, woodworking for friends, and in the end, fighting this battle for as long and as hard as he could. He still took the time to listen to all of us. He fought a warriors battle against this illness and still took the time to listen to my concerns about raising my own little energetic boy. I asked him how he got his kids to listen to anything he asked of them. He told me to make my toddler do push ups and I laughed. We can all take a note from Gil and learn how to make time to listen to the people around us. He never rushed through another person speaking. Gil has so many friends because he knew how to be a friend to make one. I wish there were more people like him in the world. He will be missed

My father was a true inspiration, no matter what circumstance, he strive to over come it and almost welcomed the challenge. Growing up as his son, he showed me so many good things in this life and I will never forget his teachings, personality, determination, love and humor. He was the kind of guy that could make friends with anyone and was eager to help others, this is a trait I hope to share. I will miss him fiercely, and he will continue to live on not only in my memories, but in my actions. I will love you always Dad. You were a great man, and I hope that I will be a great man someday too.
Love, Steven Bilodeau
Son of the world's strongest man.

Gil was a wonderful person. I always enjoyed our conversations we would have when he would come across to my side of the street and let me know what a great job I was doing at keeping my lawn green while my other half was on the road working. Gil was such a kind-hearted man. When I would see Gil working on his lawn he would always look over and wave and say hi and Gil always had the biggest smile on his face. Gil will be greatly missed by me and my family but I know he has moved on to a much better place where he is resting peacefully and is not suffering anymore. We all shall meet again when its our time. God bless Gil's wife and children and you all are in our thoughts and prayers at this very sad and difficult time.

Mr. Bilodeau was the epitome of a true friend. His smile, his wonderful laugh, and his ability to connect with everyone made it impossible not to love his company. I have enjoyed every second of my time with him, and will always appreciate how welcome I felt in his home. I admired his strength and willingness to fight his illness, and I attribute his long fight to his daily optimism, his constant smile, and his love for his family and his friends. I will miss him dearly. Amy, Chae, Steve, Bill, and everyone else, while you may miss him, just know you have a special angel watching over you. Smile for him- I'm sure your smiles will make him smile. I love you all.

Mr. Bilodeau was a great guy with more friends than I thought was possible. He always had a story to tell and a smile on his face (which of course would put a smile on my face).
