Frances Dedrick Obituary

DEDRICK Frances Dedrick, age 92, of Fairfield, passed away peacefully Monday, September 1, 2008 in her home. Born in Newtown, the daughter of the late John and Mary Johnson, she had been a Fairfield resident for 45 years. Frances loved time spent with her family. Survivors include her beloved husband of 41 years, Norman L. Dedrick, Sr. of Fairfield; four children, Charles Walters and his wife Barbara of Southbury, Shirley Schepp and her husband, Frank of Huntington, Norman L. Dedrick, Jr. and his wife Mirella of Trumbull, and Scott Dedrick of Long Island, N.Y.; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren; a brother, John Johnson of Newtown; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Irene Guild and two sisters, Agnes Craig and Eva Miller. Friends may greet the family Thursday, September 4, 2008 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield. A prayer service will conclude the visitation at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Todd Shipley Officiating. An interment service will be held Friday, September 5, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the State Veteran's Cemetery, Middletown, CT. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 96 Oak Street, Hartford, CT 06106.
