Colin and I grew up in Westport and graduated from Prep together in 1982. He was into swimming, loved to write and urged me to write creatively myself. He drove a green Volvo and we spent many days driving up to Devil's Den in Weston to jump off the rocks. One of my favorite things about him was the way he would look at me if I said something funny; he would pause for a moment and then burst out laughing. It was that pause that defined him, with that Irish twinkle in his eye. His birthday is Flag Day. I've always remembered it and of course I'll always think of him on June 14th forever. Peace Colin. You're in heaven now and all is well. I'll see ya when I get there.

To the McKenna Family: We were parishioners at St. Joseph in Shelton when Father McKenna served there. That was about 15 years ago and to this day we can still remember the homilies he gave. He spoke courageously regarding abortion and wasn't afraid to speak of subjects that most priests avoid. He was a unique soul and we will never forget him. His joyful support of the Shelton High School Football Team was amazing. We are deeply saddened by his passing and pray that he is at peace. Please accept our deepest sympathy at this very sad time.
