Johnson, Haynes N.
Haynes Norton Johnson, age 91, of North Andover, MA, died peacefully on May 11, 2016 at Edgewood in North Andover.
Haynes was born in Buffalo, New York on April 18, 1925. He graduated from Princeton University in 1946 and from Yale Law School in 1949. Haynes received an MBA from New York University in 1955.
Haynes was in the Navy V-12 unit at Princeton University. He went on to enjoy a successful career as a patent attorney. Haynes spent many years working with various local civic groups including representative town meeting and zoning boards. He had a long and successful "avocation" working in the environmental law field. Haynes was proud of his many accomplishments in these areas. Haynes enjoyed sailing, hiking and skiing with his family. Throughout his life Haynes was an accomplished photographer.
Surviving Haynes are his wife of 67 years Henrietta Dunn Johnson of North Andover; four sons Henry Johnson of Roanoke Virginia, Kent Johnson and his wife Gile Beye of Cambridge Massachusetts, Shepard Johnson of Andover Massachusetts, and Haynes N. Johnson, Jr.; grandchildren Evan Johnson of Marietta Georgia, Julia Fields and her husband Ryan Fields of Monterey California, Josephine Johnson of Arlington Massachusetts, and Abigail Johnson of Andover Massachusetts.
