Elisabeth worked as a keypunch operator at Sears in Melrose Park, and retired from Abbott Laboratories in 1986. She loved sewing and cross-stitching, as well as all sorts of crafts. She enjoyed baking and trying new recipes. Jigsaw puzzles were a favorite pastime, as well as playing the organ.
She is survived by her three children, Nancy (Joseph) Monachello of St. Charles, Paul Hart of Carol Stream, and Andrea (Richard) Ciarniello of DeKalb. In addition, she is survived by nine grandchildren, Lisa (Bob) Braun, Joseph Monachello, Gina (Gene) Massey, Michael (Kristen) Monachello, Scott Hart, Christopher (Nicole) Hart, Kelly (Wade) Maisto, Christina (Kevin) Mastrangelo and Jim (Becky) Burke; as well as thirteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and a sister, Frances Baldwin.

I had the pleasure of working with Lisa at DeKalb Ag (Monsanto) and later connected with her when my daughter Amanda moved into the same apartment building. Lisa and Amanda became good friends as my other daughter Emily did as well. The girls visited Lisa on her 90th birthday. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of Lisa's loved ones and we know that you have countless memories of the times you spent with her.

I am so sorry to hear about the death of Lisa Hart. I remember how kind and generous she was. I also remember what a good cook she was. We used to enjoy playing Canasta and just sitting and talking when she lived at Southmoor Estates. I regret not getting over to see her once she moved back to DeKalb. I guess I was not a very good friend and will always regret that. Deborah Harris
