I had the honor of knowing Eileen when she served as a docent at The Mariners' Museum. She was a wonderful lady who had a special talent for working with our youngest visitors. I always enjoyed our conversations and her wonderful sense of humor. I know she'll be missed by all who knew her.

Having been Director of Marketing at Patriots Colony for 14 years, I got to know Eileen rather well and respected her for her love of life and her spirit. What a wonderful example she set for others by returning to independent living after having made a "permanent" move to assisted living then convalescent care. Her spirit, courage and sheer determination showed what those characteristics could accomplish. Rest in peace, dear lady.

Eileen was always so sweet and loving toward the children at St. Stephen Lutheran Church. She would always talk to them and give them candy. My children and I will miss her.

I work at PC 2 evenings a week & I always enjoyed Mrs Calender stopping by to chat. I respect her courageous fight against cancer. We spent a good bit of time discussing hats and wigs. Through the years I have known her, I have been touched by her love for her family. She often had pictures to show me, and if grandchildren were visiting, she brought them by to meet me. I will miss her.
