Gloria Febish Obituary

VIRGINIA BEACH - Mrs. Gloria Febish, "Mama Mia," unexpectedly passed away this Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009.
She was preceded in death by her husband, retired Master Chief Frank J. Febish.
She is survived by her best friend and daughter, June Chisman and husband, Tommy; grandson, Hank Compton and his wife, Suzie; granddaughter, Heidi Bogan and husband, Mike; her great-grandchildren, Jorge and Sophia Bogan; brothers, Mario and Calvin Bora; and sisters, Anna Andrusynyk and Alba Signorilly. We also have others from our blended family that Mama Mia cared deeply about, Christy, Becky, Drew and their children.
I feel very blessed to have had such a wonderful mother. The love that she and I had for each other was priceless. I can't image being without her. I love you mom and I am going to miss you so very much.
I can't imagine anyone having a mother-in-law any better than Mama Mia. June and I will miss the great times we had on our back deck, your patio and the times we went out with you. We will always remember you and the fun times we had together.
The focal point of her life was her family and friends, her church, her yard and playing bingo. Our Mama Mia was a generous, fun and loving mother and granny. She taught us to be joyful and appreciative. She believed that we needed to enjoy each day because we never knew when it would be our last. Thank You Mama Mia for all the wonderful things you have done for us and loving memories you have left us. We love you and will miss you greatly.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2, at the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apts. Laskin Road Chapel by the Rev. Mr. Robert Durel.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Holy Spirit Catholic Church on Lynnhaven Boulevard. Online condolences may be sent to the family at hdoliver.com. View and post condolences on our online guestbook at dailypress.com/guestbooks.

Dearest Junebug, I know how much you loved your Momma. You always told us about your special day each week with just you and her. I enjoyed hearing some of your stories. May God help you move forward and cherish the memories you have so dear. I love you lots and lots, CareBear

June - I knew your Mom from church and was so very sorry to learn of her untimely passing. She always spoke so fondly of you and was never shy about expressing her love for you -- she loved you more than life itself. May God continue to bless you and your family with strength during this very sad and difficult time.

June, you don't know me but I knew your Mom many years ago(in the 80's) when we all plated Bingo together at the Greek Center by Laskin Road. I was just in my 20's, and my Bingo-Gals were considerably older than I.I so enjoyed knowing her and I know how she loved you because she talked about you all the time. She tickled me so when she first went to Fuddruckers for a burger, but she said the name wrong so that it sounded like a cuss-word starting with Rudd>>>>My deepest sympathies go out to you and your family.I'm just sorry that I haven,t connected with her in all these years.Your Mom will be missed by many.
