James GOFORTH Obituary
He was preceded in death by his father, James C. Goforth Sr.
Jimmy is survived by his mother, Ann L. Goforth; sister, Sandra Collins-Epker and her husband, Kenny; brother, Charles S. Goforth; nephew, Tony D. Collins Jr. and his wife, Sherry; great-niece, Alyssa Jade Collins (his pipsquek); two daughters, Jenifer Castanuela and her husband, Jesus, and Jessicca Phillips; six grandchildren, Zach, Jesse, Miha, Mary Jane, McKenzie, and Caleb, all residing in Colorado; Jimmy's faithful friend, Boo the cat; and too many beloved family members to list them all.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 29, 2010, from 1 to 2 p.m. with a funeral service following at 2 p.m. at W.J. Smith & Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park.
Jimmy was a dedicated Rusty Wallace fan and loved life to its fullest. His world revolved around his family, friends and his love for the outdoors and his flowers. Jimmy will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. I have known Jimmy for about 3 years. I work at a grocery store around the corner from his home and he was a regular customer. When Mrs. Ann told me about his homegoing, I could not believe it. He was always so nice to me and I was always happy to see him. If there is anything I can do for the family, please let me know. Dear Ann, Sandra, Chuck, and Kenny,
Most spend 80 years of eternity on earth, Jimmy unfortunatly did not. Jesus explains through the Apostle Paul's epistle Romans 8:18 that Jimmy just beat us to glory. We are happy for Jimmy in eternity and saddened for all who loved Jimmy and will miss him. May the Lord be with the Goforth Family forever.

Though I have not had the pleasure of visiting Jimmy in many years, I have thought about him often. He was a good husband to an old friend of mine and a great father to his daughters. I will continue to think about Jimmy and know that he is at peace.
