I have been thinking about you so much. I miss you so much and no matter how much I think of you I still won't be able to see you or hear from you. I do know I always looked foward to this time of year because you would be here to see us and your handsome son. I feel the pain is never going to go away you were my first love and I will never forget that James and we got a wonderful son out of it I just thank God for my memories you are missed and loved always.

Life is not the same without you. I still cannot believe that I won't be able to put my arms around you and hold on to you. You always made me so proud and happy to be your mother.

James,
Just found out about you here, and as i start typing away i keep erasing it all and startig it all over as what i did say wasnt remote close to who and how you were. You were one of the greatest people ive gotten to know, both work and off. God must have needed someone up there to teach him a few things about shootin pool...make sure you save a game for me when i make it up. So from one 1panther to another, we'll always remember times together, youll never be forgotten, always loved.

For Those I Love & Those Who Love Me
When I am gone, release me, let me go
I have so many things to see and do
You mustn't tie yourself to me with tears,
Be thankful for our beautiful years.
I gave you my love. You can only guess
How much you gave to me in happiness.
I thank you for the love each have shown,
But it's time I traveled alone.
So grieve a while for me, if grieve you must,
Then let your grief be comforted by trust.
It's only for a time we must part
So bless the memories within your heart.
I won't be far away, for life goes on
So if you need me, call and I will come.
Though you can't see or touch me, I'll be near
And if you listen with your heart, you'll hear
All my love around you, soft and clear.
And then, when you must come this way alone,
I'll greet you with a smile, and say-
"Welcome Home!"

Joy,
I extend my most sincere and deepest condolences to you and your family. After reading the other entries it shows your son James was loved and respected by everyone lucky enough to have known him. We meet thousands of people in our life time but only a certain few really touch the heart. It's obvious your son was a very special person to have been able to touch the hearts of so many. This proves that you have done a tremendous job in raising James. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Joy,
My heartfelt condolences at the loss of your son. I know that my words cannot express the sorrow that you feel, so I won’t say a lot here. I am thinking of you.
I found this poem and this website http://www.chrislucastrust.com/Poem.htm that may give you comfort when you’re ready. I pray for your family.
In tears I saw you sinking,
I watched you fade away.
You suffered much in silence,
you fought so hard to stay.
You faced your task with courage.
Your spirit did not bend,
and still you kept on fighting
until the very end.
God saw you getting tired.
When a cure was not to be.
So he put his arms around you
and whispered "come to me".
So when I saw you sleeping
So peaceful, free from pain.
I could not wish you back
to suffer that again.
Always, Linda

James...man, I know this epitaph is going to sound dumb. I was in the unit with you; I was in your class. I'm sorry James, I didn't know. My prayers go out to you. We were acquaintances at best, but I always thought I could have been a better friend to you. God had better plans for you in this world, but it seems He has decided to bring you to Paradise even sooner. Know that, in this life and the next, you were and will be a unique man. Give the God of Israel a hug for me; I'm sure He's been awaiting your arrival. Know that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. You'll be in the company of the Most High soon.

Joy, I never had the honor of meeting James, but I feel a kindred bond with him that comes from having served in the Armed Forces of our country. His love of country and dedication to duty places him in a very select group of Americans that we call Heros. Yes, " Heros", a term I do not use lightly. All of America owes him heart felt thanks and enduring respect. We live in freedom because of James. Please accept my condolences and know that many friends that work in the shadow of the Pentagon and the radiance of Arlington's warm glow are with you and James always. James, this is hard to do. We spent a lot of time together, be it bowling, playing tennis or shooting pool. We had good times. We argued and fought like brothers. We always made up in the end. We worked on our cars and got into mischief. There will be tons of memories to share with friends, and plenty to share with your son. I will do my best to get all the details correct. It is sad that you are gone. You will be missed.

I am so sorry to hear of James passing. I hadn't seen him since he was in middle school with my Daughter, Stacy. The years just seem to fly by and we lose touch.
