Thomas White Obituary
He was born on March 4, 1948, in Brooklyn, New York, son of Alice Huber White, of South Huntington, New York, and the late Leroy White.
Mr. White retired as a Tax Analyst with AT&T. He served in the United States Army in Vietnam, and later as an officer in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania Chapters of the Vietnam Veterans of America, and was an Assistant Scout Master with the Boy Scouts of America. After retirement, he served on the Beautification Corps at Lake Monticello, the Broadcast Group and Fluvanna Rotary Club.
In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife, Judy White; two sons, Jason White and his wife, Brandy, of Fairfax, and Jeremy White and his wife, Linda, of Columbia, Maryland; and sister, Barbara Warburton, and her husband, Kenneth, of South Huntington, New York.
The family will receive friends from 2 until 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2011, at Thacker Brothers Lake Monticello Funeral Home, 138 Heritage Drive, Palmyra, Virginia.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Vietnam Veterans of America, 8719 Colesville Road, Suite 100, Silver Spring, Maryland 20910; or to the Lake Monticello Beautification Corps, c/o Kathleen Seroskie, 11 Spoon Terrace, Palmyra, Virginia 22963.
