Audrey Elaine Mawyer

Audrey Elaine Mawyer, 77, of Covesville, passed away Thursday, June 10, 2010, at the University of Virginia Medical Center.

Born July 1, 1932, in Charlottesville, she was the daughter of the late Ollie P. Hunt and Ruby A. Key.

In addition to her parents, she was preceeded in death by her husband of 56 years, Herman P. Mawyer.

Audrey is survived by her children, Leon Mawyer, Charlie Mawyer and his wife, Debbie, Ronnie Mawyer, Terri Mawyer, Ricky Mawyer and his wife, Amy, and Alice Mawyer and her boyfriend, Art O'Coin; one brother, Leslie Hunt; one sister, Dora Toms; her grandchildren, Jennifer Thacker, Lucas Londeree, Kaleb Mawyer, Megan Londeree, Jacob Mawyer, R.J. Steward, and Thomas Carte; and one great-grandchild, Haylie Thacker.

"Mom Mawyer" was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed by all.

A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, June 14, 2010, at the Teague Funeral Home.

Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 7 p.m. Sunday, June 13, 2010, at the Teague Funeral Home.
