David Hamilton Davis

A memorial service for David Hamilton Davis, 58, of Richmond, Virginia, formerly of Orange and Louisa, Virginia, who died peacefully on Friday, January 8, 2010, at the Hunter Holmes McGuire Veterans Hospital in Richmond, Virginia, will be held 11 a.m. Friday, September 10, 2010, at the Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Orange, Virginia.

Interment of ashes will be at the Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Radiant, Virginia.

The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 a.m. Friday, September 10, 2010, at the funeral home.

From early on in his adult life, David was not blessed with a quality of life due to his many health problems but he handled each setback with a mischievous sense of humor and with his brother, Dennis, there to lend a helping hand.

Although David's memorial service was planned for a later date, with the sudden death of his brother, Dennis, on Friday, September 3, 2010, and the request of David's nephews, the memorial services will be combined so that Dennis and David can continue their journey together as they did in life.

David was born on March 21, 1951, in Charlottesville, Virginia, to Eunice Ruth Lohr and the late Thomas J. Davis of Orange, Virginia.
