To the Sheffield Family,

Although I did not know Ed's family,I just want to express my sincere sympathy to you.

I knew Ed from Virginia National Bank many years ago, actually in the late 1960's and l970's having worked in the Trust Department. He was always such a wonderful easy going gentleman.

Dearest Sylvia,
George and I are saddened that we have lost a wonderful man. We always enjoyed talking with Ed at our First Friday cocktail paries. He was always so soft spoken and a true southern gentleman. He will be missed but thought of very frequently.
Love and Hugs to you and your family during this time.

Dear Sylvia, Susan, Gordon and Family

We share in your sadness at the loss of our sweet friend. He was such a sweet, humble and soft spoken man. We enjoyed being able to chat with you all over the last few years, at Gordon and Melissa's. It has been a pleasure to have shared time and "cake" together, even for such a short while. I will always remember fondly our cake sharing time. I hope he was able to see the picture from this summer of Susan and I sharing some cake together. You all are in our thoughts and prayers.
